If this were coming officially, it would open all sorts of doors and expectations. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these updates were "allowed" to get to me and the other guys to help keep things positive without all the weight of an official announcement.
Yeah, that's true, there's always lawyers. And you're expendable to them.

that number above tho, I like it.

150 per shift, per day. That's 1500 a week, not even factoring in a possible 6 day week as I've heard bandied about. Definitely getting my truck by 2023! WHOO!!

Under promise, over deliver kinda thing? Or simple temper expectations
Exactly. They are super gun shy to overstate anything else.

if Ford shared this and there was a hiccup after the fact then you guys would cry bloody murder. Be happy that a forum member with an inside track is sharing.

be happy and try not to ask for more …
At least for another 24 hours.

Finally, some good news. To be honest, how much goodwill could Ford earn by sharing this info directly?

Is the modular hard top still on track for 22?
Yes, though the specifics are fluid pending the outcome of the Webasto mess.

What's the max target number of trucks per shift that MAP is trying to get to?

Having gone through this process with a custom pre-ordered 5G Ranger in 2019, perhaps I have some perspective (from a customer viewpoint) on how quickly these things ramp up once assembly line production is functioning for a new model.

Bronco has followed that process, but with some tasty covid sprinkled in along with global JIT inventory issues, and it was as sure as the rising of the tides that Bronco would ramp up.

For us customers following 5G Ranger it seemed that very, very, very few units were getting built the first 2-4 weeks of production and that they would never build all of the customer pre-orders. By the 6th week of production they had hit their stride and by the 3rd month the forums were alight with new members posting up their Rangers and MAP pushing these things out like quicksilver. Within 4 months of their first model year, every pre-order had been satisfied while at the same time making a supply for their dealership network.

i do hope with these increased speeds also come precision, reliability, and consistency.
At MAP I have zero concerns. That shop has a great track record. The biggest concern is Webasto and what happens there.

Very helpful to see the process ramping up along with realistic projections. Thanksgiving delivery is still looking like a possibility. Great news.

Great news, my faith was wavering but news like this keeps me in the tent. Now it is a race between when my new Seattle Kraken team starts and when I get to drive my new Bronco. Should be an exciting October!

How many pre orders did the Ranger have to fulfill?
