Man! They're still cranking those things out at a record pace!
Wonder what their strategy here is, seeing as they're over producing vs the demand.
Sales are down 2% vs 2023, not too bad since a good chunk of '23's went to the early reservation holders.
For comparison, 128,188 Broncos were built in 2023.

Well there was a whole other thread about slowing down production. In any case, I am glad the bronco's foothold in the market is holding. Its a good platform, I'm enjoying mine though I don't think I'm keeping it forever, who knows.

And 143K so far in 2024 with sales flat. Ford had to throw $6K in discounts to move 23s back this summer. They will have to throw that much into 24s to sell them also.

Looks like they're exporting the excess to other countries other than in the US?

I think we are close to "peak Bronco."

Peak production will soon lead to peak discounts. Assuming production is ratcheted back for 2025, Ford will slowly get this under control.

I've been away from analyzing Bronco production monthly for a while and just went back to look. On a trailing 3 month basis through November, production has been at all-time highs at ~497/day.

However sales, having recovered from the TTM recent nadir of 154 in Dec 2023, have only built back to TTM of 307 per day through November.

The balloon in gross stock to 52K at EOM November suggests they've got to have some cash on the hood in some form, soon.

Is there a refresh coming soon, maybe for 2026 MY, that's slowing things down beyond what relatively high interest rates did through the back half of last year?

Detailed data is here:

Yeah, or at least "peak Bronco pricing." I priced out an OBX similar to my 2022 OBX recently and was shocked at how much Ford increased pricing. I think they got a little over their skis in being aggressive on prices.

With 52K gross stock, there's got to be some deals to be had soon--even more than the below MSRP pricing I'm now seeing everywhere.

I also wonder when the used Bronco prices will start to ease. By now, haven't the rich folks who wanted the hot, new vehicle moved on to whatever is the latest hotness?
