The funny part was this was on the original first full tank of gas so I basically got to drive a darn brand new Bronco, I think we were the third week and they have a total of 28 Broncos that they rotate. I personally would have not gone out on 1/2 a tank but we were not that far away from base camp at any point as most of the trail system was setup not to be out and back type stuff. This looks awesome but half a tank and 41 m to empty!!! haha
Well coming down a 9/10 trail, one of the drivers went over a bit too big of a boulder and dropped the driver tire off the front. It got stuck on the trans cross member that we have been talking about being a lower point. So yes it took some time to pull that one off the rock, it was 5 of 6 in the group so luckily we still had a Bronco behind it.Seeing that recovery rope come out - need the story.
I was by myself. The lead Bronco gets the instructor. If you bring a guest, you can swap throughout the day if you want, there are plenty of stops and or rest periods, they manage the day very well.Did you have others in the bronco you drove or just you and your party? I am bringing my cousin and am wondering if we are going to be passengers while others drive and visa versus?
It was like 102 down on the strip, but even by mid afternoon I think it was low 90s up there. The base camp and trails are pretty far up in elevation so that makes a huge difference in temp. In the afternoon were were up around 8000' feet. I did keep the air on in the Bronco the whole time and it was a soft top and did not get hot. I did also run a bunch with at least the driver window down because none of the Broncos had the high package 360.I feel hot and thirsty just looking at those pictures. Beautiful scenery though.
Thanks for the update. Can’t wait scheduled for NovemberIt’s just you and your party. If you’re the lead or trail vehicle you will also have the instructors ride along

For sure the Raiders game was Monday night or I would have maybe planned to go. By Sat the strip was pretty packed, but I left mid day anyways as its way cheaper and less busy to fly out vs Sun/Monday.I think Vegas is my spot. I want to try and set up where I do the off roadeo one day and hit a Raiders game on Sunday. Might be next year but sounds like a perfect weekend.
