My Dealer in Evergreen ford can only offer me MSRP.

Does anyone know what will be the other charges on top of MSRP? (Just want to make sure that I don't over pay the charges)
- Tax: 10.4%?
- Dealer fees?
- Doc Fees?
- License fees?

Usually it is just tax and a single dealer/doc fee. I think they usually run around 600 dollars now adays but it varies by dealer. If they try to charge more they are being out of line. Then yeah just whatever tax is in your area.

It will be almost the same at every dealer.. Washington limits dealer doc fees to $150
https://www.atg.wa.gov/dealer-advertising

Sales tax, RTA tax, licensing are all going to be the same.. Sales tax will vary based on the dealers location

If you live in King County, the RTA tax is going to be almost $600-700 on a fully loaded Bronco, roughly $6k in sales tax, plus about $100 in title, license plates etc.

No one at this point is offering less than MSRP... There was a dealer in Olympia that was offering "x plan" type pricing, but that opportunity is long gone. They were matching X plan, not accepting it on the Bronco. X plan is NOT available on the Bronco.

I should order it at dealer in mckenna, i notice that the sales tax is 8.3% in pierce county. It will save $1k for the tax alone

I am unaware of any State that does not change sales tax based on the registered address of the owner. Might want to check it out to keep from getting a surprise tax bill from Washington/county.

If you buy it in State, the sales tax is based on where you are buying it. If you buy it out of State, then the "use" tax is based on your residence. Your License/RTA fees are based on your residence

What’s the deal with “VIN etching”? The VIN is stamped throughout the vehicle.

Sounds like a creative way for the dealer to make a quick $179 after subtracting the $20 they will have to pay their employee to do the etching.

It’s just another way for the dealership to rip people off. It does absolutely nothing .

Dealers are required to to offer it as part of state law.

It just laser-etches the VIN number on all of the windows, on the wheels, the catalytic converters, etc.

I have no idea if it actually reduces theft. I doubt it, but haven’t researched it. I personally get it done because it reduces my insurance premium by $6/mo. Obviously not an earth shattering discount, but it effectively pays for itself after 3 years.

Washington State does... Everything is about where the product/service is delivered in Washington State.. I am running a $60mil multi site project and sales tax calculations are !@#$! nightmare.

Washington State DEFINITELY charges sales tax on vehicles based on the dealer's location, Sales tax is 8%ish to 10%+ depending on where you are. RTA tax is the killer in parts of Pierce, Snohomish and King County and that IS based on where the vehicle is registered. It will be $500+ annually for the first few years to register a Bronco

That might be a New England thing or CT, but it definitely is not a Washington thing https://portal.ct.gov/-/media/DMV/20/29/Vinpdf.pdf

Frankly I have never heard of a miracle were someones car was recovered or parts recovered from VIN etching.

Which dealer give you tax for 6.35%?
Is it in Washington or outside?

Outside.

It’ll obviously vary widely based on which state, county, and city—each area of the country has different tax rates… or in the case of a state like Montana or New Hampshire… no tax.
