This has literally solidified my decision to abandon my 2 door OBX reservation and go Black Diamond. In my opinion, the tube steps ruin the clean lines of the car and the body-painted flairs make everything a homogenous pile of metal. Much prefer the matte black fender flairs and side mirrors. Thanks for posting!!

Gonna make a really unpopular opinion here. Try not to stone me to death...

But the 4-door feels "soccer-momish" to me. I dunno. The 2 door just seems like it was built to maul like a cougar and the 4 door feels like a kitten.

This is also coming from a mid-30 year old dude with no kids, so I have no use for a 4-door. So, likely just biased.
I agree. But I think the 2 door with a good set of aggressive 33s would look fine too. Like the Badlands for example.

I think most negative reactions are because the car is painted black. All the details are hidden. If this were painted in a bright COLOR, the roof/grille/running board would all pop and be complementary to even out the look. With everything cloaked in black, it reads more as typical suv, and puts thoughts of soccer moms in your head.

great! Now I’m triggered!

I would like the 2 door but with two kids, a wife, and lots of family adventures, it just isn’t big enough for all our stuff. Plus, if you want to avoid getting the kids getting car sick, on long winding roads, you better have a window they can roll down.

I’m going to do my best friend though, and make my 4 door look bad ass. I do like it already, but yeah, that 2 door is stealing the show.

The Outer Banks model looks so tamed lol. Like super mall crawl ready. I need the more aggressive tires, plastic fenders, regular headlights, and maybe even a soft top to not feel like I’m driving my 3 nonexistent children to soccer practice.

the 2 door is a high benchmark in the looks dept that the 4door can't touch. I always want the 4dr as well, and i'm not considering it with the bronc. the looks change significantly for the worse imo.

if you nit pick even more the 4door looks a little dated as well...by dated it looks like a 80/90's Cherokee with a mixture of Toyota/rrover

I am glad we are getting some pics like this. I need the 4 door for various reasons but agree with the observations about the shortcomings on apperance of this OBX. Not beacuse the two additional doors but rather, the running boards and smaller wheels take away from the Bronco image. I like the boards on my F-150 because they swing up and down and generally are out of the way. I was originally going to get the OBX but am having second thoughts. Just spitballing here but does anyone think that a black body color-any trim-would look good with a silver grille and a silver mod top? I know the top would have to be custom painted but I think it works......or am I crazy?

I do like the 2dr, but functionally it's just not there for me. Too little cargo room in the back and only two rear seats that you have to parkour your way into just won't cut it. I think the 2dr is pretty limited space-wise to an off-road fun machine for single folk. One thing about this pic though, take off the ridiculous running boards and put some 33+" M/T tires and it's def no mall crawler.

Because of exactly this thought, and after seeing the 2- and 4-doors take on real trails, I decided to go with a 2-door instead of a 4-door. At first I thought I really couldn't justify another 2-door off-road specialist because I have no plan to dump my FJ (still don't). But the more I see of the 2-door Bronco in action for real (and not all CGI'd), the more I am convinced it's the badass pony to parlay. All that said, I'm a mid-50s dude with a grown-up kid. So your logic is multi-threaded.

This is the most watered-down version of them all, painted fender flares/running boards/all-season tires really kill the looks and vibe. Not a fan of the darker colors either, the lines look much better in the light colors.

That’s why I like the Big Bend, get the matte black fenders not body color. I like the cactus gray 4 door with black hard top and black fender flares

just eye balling it here but.. this car does not seem to have bigger tires nor a lift. do those, add a roof rack or something, and it doesn't look like it would clear the garage in the background. Looks like a pretty standard garage size too.
