What Jeep needEd to build was a new CJ8 Scrambler not the Gladiator Crew Can. The Gladiator should have been a pickup likes it namesake to slot in below a Ram 1500 instead to replace the Dakota.

Ford will be screwing the same pooch by copying Jeep.

The new Ranger can handle the pickup duties just fine Instead of a some lame Bronco 4 Derp pickup.

yes! The scrambler was always my favorite CJ. Probably because it was so unique. The wrangler unlimited 2 door never looked right. Maybe because the top went over the roll cage?

I'd rather just have a damn bronco. Stop making new products and deliver what you already promised!

My understanding was that the gladiator has been a pretty big failure for Stellantis.

And, given that Ford already has well-known pickup families, not sure where a Bronco pickup would fit or make the most sense. Especially with Ranger Raptor, Tremor etc.

Are people really looking for a Ranger-based pickup (but not a Ranger) with 3500lbs towing capacity? Lol.

Most definitely! And the new Gladiator should have been based on a Kaiser Jeep Gladiator/M715 but scaled slightly smaller to be more maneuverable than original 5 Quarters

I never thought I'd like a gladiator in my life. But I just picked up a '21 until my Bronco arrives hopefully sometime this year and I'm really digging it. The whole family had a great time in it this past weekend. I'd be interested to see a Bronco version to see what they do with it.

Gladiator is an unmitigated sales flop. Why follow failure?

Let the Ranger Raptor scratch the small off-roady pickup itch and the Maverick the cheap pickup itch. There is no need to delve into every single segment of the market. If everything is important, nothing is important.

Good grief
The gladiator is a dog and a horribly designed vehicle.
Ford run away from the whole bronco pick up garbage...
I rented a Gladiator last month and it was horrible. I'm sure the Bronco would be better but why bother? There's gonna be a Ranger Raptor, doesn't that cover it?

yes they did raised the msrp but they also dropped the lux package by almost 5k. Essentially they made a lot of options just standard as no one really buys a based raptor. Dealers order them pretty much with every option. It is deceiving until you look at closely at how they price the options. It was not obvious to me until I ordered one.

isnt ford still denying the ranger raptor cause it would take sales from the big raptor?

never mind the fact they dropped the supercab and raised the msrp by 10.5k

Not related to your topic, but after seeing that picture, I just realized I’ve never seen a Gladiator with a canopy on the back of it. Not sure how I feel about that…

Ford should focus on building our Bronco’s we have on order. Get through that before you move onto something else… Just my 2 cents. They have enough going on right now with new launches.
R&D for future products is a totally separate division of the company and doesn’t effect the building of the current model. Besides, companies can’t just stop R&D, they’d be left in the dust by their competitors.
