Any idea how many Gladiators are produced a year?
They sold 77,000 of them last year vs. 201,000 Wranglers.

Ford sold 101,000 Rangers last year, Toyota sold 238,000 Tacomas. GM sold 120,000 Colorados/Canyons.

So not a raging success, but still respectable numbers.

Who knows but I would hope they avoid a Canyon and Colorado situation.
GMC trucks slot higher than Chevy trucks in the lineup the same way Buick does. They may look the same but they aren't really after the same customer.

Just move the ranger under the bronco line. It is perfect as the bronco and ranger will share basic platforms. At most offer a sasquatch ranger package.

please and thank you.
Yep I would love there to be 2 rangers. The ugly ranger( for 2wd, fuel miser, fleet, and comercial sales) and the Bronco Ranger that uses Bronco type sheetmetal, is available in 2 and 4 doors, and has higher end 4x4 suspension. Also make the 2 door Bronco Ranger Base come in at around 26-27,000. Squatch available across the board. If the next Ranger(after the new one) has the back half of the sheetmetal more resemble the Bronco sides then having 2 front ends wouldnt be that bad to differentiate them. The aero one being for mpg sales and the tough one being for enthusiasts.

Looks like it has T-tops instead of a fully removable roof. I kinda like that idea for the truck.

Gotta take out Wranger once and for all!

I don't disagree with you, but if the Bronco brand segregates from Ford as we believe it will. Then Ford will essentially have what GM has between the Chevy Colorado and the GMC Canyon.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they brand the Maverick under the Bronco umbrella.
Who believes it will? They're not going to pull a RAM and make it a brand. It's a sub-brand in the way that F-series is a sub-brand, but still a Ford.

And no regarding Maverick, it'll fall under the Ford truck umbrella.

Ford, please no. Just stop it. Why? Let Jeep do their own thing with the Gladiator. The Gladiator sucks and is ugly. Ford has the Ranger and the F-Series trucks. I don't get it. It's basically going to be a Ranger with a different body and sucky bed space. Just buy an F150 because they're priced too close to even consider a Ranger (or Maverick) for that matter.
Just because FCA did a crap job with the Gladiator doesn't mean that Ford will do the same. Just look at the different styling between the Wrangler and Bronco and one can imagine it looking waaaay better than the Gladiator does.

A well-executed Bronco pickup - holding over some form of removable roof and the Single Most Important Piece of Hardware in It - should destroy Gladiator sales. There is no way that would be difficult.

I live in a big city and I've only seen 3 or 4 Gladiators on the road. And one of them is in the parking lot at work. The hype has already died down for it (just ask dealers). And you can actually buy them this ugly:
