Little has been said about this except that it’s going to happen a year or two afterwards. I don’t know much about the old Bronco pickups, I’ve never had a pickup myself, but truth be told I like the idea of having an area of the vehicle without cloth that I wont get dirty or tear, and I can chuck anything in there. Maybe I should just get a next gen ranger and deck it out how I want, but if I wait for Bronco pickup, What kinds of things could/should they add to this Bronco pickup to distinguish it from a next gen ranger?

Saw this rendering from "Automobile" magazine. I would think and hope that it would look more like the Bronco Bronco than the next gen Ranger - similar to what Jeep did. But heck we haven't even seen the release of a photo of the Bronco Bronco yet.

yes, I see no benefit for this over a ranger. now a single cab very short bed (same wheelbase as the 2 door bronco, so just like the pre 73 pickup bronco's), would be nice. or some way to convert between pickup and SUV.

Nothing has been said about this by anyone who is in a position to know. Until Ford says something, I consider it a complete figment of imagination.

If the secrecy on Bronco holds out, even fully paid-up new owners won't be allowed to see it until after their third oil change. Any pickup derivative will be positively invisible until after the first required transmission fluid change at 100k.

New owners have to drive it with these on for the first year, LOL!!!

I don't have any issues with them building it, so long as it doesn't interfere with the anticipated release date of the BroncoBronco. As always, the more choices, the better for the consumer.

I do have some reservations as to whether it is worth the effort for them to build it, I just don't think it will sell in large enough quantities to make an acceptable profit ratio from the investment. I've been wrong on that before, lucky for the world I'm not in the car business.

I don't see the need for it. Ford has the F-150, Superduty and Ranger. Where would a Bronco truck fit in? It would be more of a niche vehicle. I understand the Gladiator, Jeep has no other truck.

yeah, it would only fit in with the 2door very short wheelbase bronco, so something like a 3' or 3-1/2' bed like the originals. the 2dr with a 4-1/2' bed like pictured is just a boxy up ranger, even same frame. no point splitting your own market.

I really don't see any point in it... just like with the Mach E, the Bronco has never been a pickup truck and never should be. There's no reason to make a pickup truck out of an SUV that's being made on the same exact platform as another pickup truck in the lineup

First gen Broncos had the "half cab" pickup but doesn't make much sense as everyone has commented that it would compete against Ranger. However if it replaced the Ranger with the Bronco styling and removable top/doors I would be interested.

I could see a potential market for the half-cab. just not a true mid size pickup.

Or even preferably, a way to convert the SUV to the halfcab easily, with maybe a different optional/aftermarket top, panel to go behind the seat, and an easily removeable second row bench seat, with a flat and bare rear floor, or an easily removeable carpet/underlay.

I really like what Bollinger has done with their pickup in a similar regard. Has a 6 ft bed (maybe 6.5) but the rear portion of cab is removable and seats move out of the way super easy to make an 8 ft bed area.

The only and i mean only way, in my opinion. That a bronco pickup would set itself apart from the ranger. Is if the bronco comes with a SFA. But its been all but confirmed its going to be IFS, so it just doesnt make a lot of sense. That being said, a bronco pickup would probably suit the needs of gladiator buyers better than the gladiator, being that ifs does drive/handle better on the road. Where most of them are anyways. Just my 2 cents.
