Interesting, that with 190,000 people (Reservation holders) watching, they would not make a statement on the matter? Possibly the PR guy is stuck in the snow somewhere.
Because in the plants, the workers work endless miracles all day long and in most cases to them it is a non-event. Fires even minor ones usually have to be reported and investigated and someone decided to alert and get the Bronco crowd excited. No statements needed. No Broncos were harmed or needed to be put down. As long as they get materials/quality stock not much will stop the crews/teams/production specialists from getting the vehicles out the door.

Actually, here is the "hyped up" story by that idiot publication that talked about build quality problems on Broncos because they thought the wrong door handle was on a pre-production unit and that was indicative of future builds...

(Sarcasm) "Today there was a fire at the Ford plant that is producing the new '21 Ford Bronco. Pictures show a Bronco that sadly had to be put down after severe burns

Ford Bronco Bronco production line equipment suffers fire 1614818583161

Fortunately, another brave Fire Bronco was there to douse the flames.

Four more Broncos were sent to the crusher before it was realized that they were really AMB after workers thought they were charred black by the fire. More to follow."

I hope I don't get anyone in trouble for sharing this, that's why I censored the post. But I know someone who works at Dearborn stamping and they shared that there was a fire on one of the cranes used for setting presses on the Bronco line.

I edited this post to remove their Facebook post as suggested by others here. I really hope that they can get this fixed soon.
Just another bad omen which surrounds this vehicle.

They might just as well have left the whole thing up instead of speaking in hush tones. Enough info has been provided that Ford probably has a good idea who leaked this story. This is beginning to sound like Webasto part 2.

LOL....I'm sure they can...But would probably take months to get one in.
Contingencies are always in place . Whether it be robots, cranes or other machinery......there's always replacements nearby.....downtime is at a minimum

Downtime is no joke in the plants from my understanding. The family business I worked for when I was younger had a lot of guys that went back and forth from the plants to our business, depending on the economy and how frustrated they were with the auto manufacturer that week. All sorts of crazy stories about what broke (how and why was even more interesting) and what length they would go to fix stuff. Most of the people I know are involved with other aspects of the business, but it all revolves around the plants at some point!
I've been an electrician in maintenance for nearly 25 years at Ford, all of it in the body construction area. I can tell you that when that main line stops (in any of the departments), a whole lot of people take notice, quickly. And yes, I've been the direct cause for a few of those mishaps.🤪🤪

Yeah, a fire is kind of a non event most of the time. Grab a C rated extinguisher and put it out. Send everyone to early break while maintenence rolls in and gets everything back up and running.
The longest breakdowns that we routinely have is when a truck cab (body) falls off its chains into the giant vat its dipped into before painting. Usually 2 to 3 hours to drain the tank, 30 minutes or so to remove said truck, another 2 to 3 hours to refill said vat.
I don't think I'd want the responsibility of being the chain hanging guy.

He's buying Blue coffee or some such while driving his Bronco Sport.
