In the 11/8 build we group we have tracked who has gotten a window sticker. Every person scheduled to be produced the week of 11/8 has a 2.7L engine. Not one person has added 2.3L engine. Also probably why there are quite a few First Editions scheduled for 11/8.

Maybe it is just a coincidence, but that seems unlikely based on the data.

Hope this info helps some of you out wondering about scheduling and production.

Yeah in case it wasn't obvious... Ford tries to group like-orders together. One day may be nothing but 2.7L Sasquatch packages, the next day may be all 2.3L manual transmission, and the next day they may be 2.3L automatics. The more they can group the easier it becomes.

Basically helps simplify the manufacturing process and reduces the chance of mis-builds.

My dealer got all of their 2.3L 4-door orders for 2021 delivered last week. Up until then the only Broncos the had received were 2.7L. Next week they're expecting to get most of their 2-door orders for the year.

Yeah, it makes sense for them to schedule similar engines by the day, I just hadn’t seen them schedule a whole week with one type of engine.
