Another trail report for those looking for new places in Utah. This weekend we the Devil’s Race Track in the San Rafael Swell area of Utah. There are a few different ways to do this trail. We chose to start driving through Eagle canyon, then over to swasey cabin. Then back under I-70 and start the devils race track. When finished with the track, we went left and back to out starting point on the Eva Conover trail. Instead of the route over “Fix it pass” The devils race track is rated a 6. There are about 4 or 5 obstacles that are good to have a spotter. I would not recommend doing the trail alone. It is pretty remote. My 2 door black diamond with 2 “ lift and 35 scraped the bottom a few times, but nothing serious. I wouldn’t recommend doing this trail without a rear locker. I am sure it could be done, but I don’t want to work that hard. 😂 It is a fun trail, and has a little bit of everything. I highly recommend it, if you want to get away for the mayhem of Moab. (About an hour and twenty minutes west from Moab) we did 40 miles total and with stops for scenery and lunch it took us about 8hours.

Nice! Beautiful area, looks like good fun. That trail is still on my hit list. I was out there in 2020 but the weather had other plans so we skipped the DRT. It rained like crazy & we woke up to 6 inches of snow. I want to go back.

That is a bummer your weather was bad. Let me know when you can make it out again, I would love to drive it again.

Nice - looks like an epic trip.

Did you paint the MIC Wimbledon White? How is the paint holding up?

Yes the top is painted. And it has been a year and a half and I have had no issues with it.

How wide is that tunnel in the picture. Looks like it could be a pretty tight squeeze for a Raptor.

Yes you would not get your raptor though there very easily. There might be a different way to get to the trail. But not 100% sure.

It is a bad ass tents rack. But I had it powder coated chrome. If you do a search in my profile you will see I did a thread on it.

Nothing to see here, move along. Moab is the place. ; )

Somewhere in the paper archives I've got a Polaroid of our minivan in that culvert. OK, I'm not that old it wasn't a Polaroid but it is a printed picture. We used to go to that area with the kids every year when the kids were little.

Scariest drive of my life was getting the minivan out from behind the reef early one morning. Rain drops on the tent woke me up. They are getting louder, in my head I'm counting how many times we crossed that dry wash and wondering how little rain it would take to make the washes unpassible for a 2wd Chrysler town and country. I couldn't take it, woke everyone up, loaded the van in record time and drove out. I didn't expect the geasiest slickest road I've ever been on. Bought chains for the van shortly after that.

One of my excuses to my wife for buying the bronco was "just think of where we could go in the Swell".
