nobody wants a hybrid in their performance bronco the numbers dont matterThe fuel economy on the Jeep 392 is 13MPG and 17MPG (you are driving from gas station to gas station in that thing). The Explorer ST gets about 24MPG. If Ford can get 450HP out of turbo charged 6 while still getting 22.5MPG I don't see Ford going V8.
No better sound on the planet when you are in deep and need assistance.BRRRT is not the sound of a dinosaur. Just sayin.
I have a day one reservation and passed on a 21 Because of the late availability debacle. Do you guys think the warthog/raptor will be limited like the FE model?
Holy Sh$t! I love that! First the head-nod to the A10 Thunderbolt 'Warthog' and then a full-on tribute to it's Grandpappy, the P47 Thunderbolt! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_P-47_Thunderbolt Make it happen Ford! What I find interesting is the orange cables. Cannot see them in these pictures. If there was a hybrid Bronco, battery power mated to a 2.7 or 3.5 engine, I'd put in a reservation immediately.
The name "Thunderbolt" would fit so nicely to a hybrid or all electric Bronco
Yeah, I did notice that sound in the video. The other clues about the video being a hybrid Bronco (plug-in?) are the characteristic induction motor whine at take off (distinct from turbo whine), and the access flap on the rear right quarter panel, in addition to the standard one for gas on the left.
Now what would be absolutely hilarious (and appropriate) is a 2 door Bronco Raptor and a 4 door Bronco Warthog. Still want to see a 3.5l ecoboost as an option.2 door warthog not gonna happen. V8 will not happen. We will not get this thing till MY23. The 3.0 should be able to get very near or exceed 392 power levels without hybrid power
At this point I'm about 90% sure I'm just going to wait on the Bronco Raptor myself.this Bronco Raptor is sick...if I get pushed to late 2022 build, maybe I just wait...
