This has to be infuriating for those who have been waiting a year or more for their bronco to see ford has just said F*ck you and moved right past them. On another note do you have the full sticker from that post so we can see the MSRP?
wife has day one reservation and got golden ticket, she doesnā€™t have a build date for her raptor. So, not every gold ticket holder is jumping the line.

I ran my tank down to 32 miles remaining range and filled up yesterday at $5.5X a gallon. $108 later I had a full tank...that will last maybe...just maybe a week. In my thirty-five years of driving I've never paid this much to fill up a car/truck. Now...I sold my boat last year and that baby held 350 gallons...those were expensive fill ups.
Itā€™s not going to get better anytime soon. In my 45 years Iā€™ve never seen such incompetence in our government.

It would be funny if it wasnā€™t so sad!

As of 5-21-2022, national average is $4.59/Gallon

Hereā€™s the new breakdown:
Based on average of 15,000 miles traveled/year,

15,000 Miles Traveled/year divided by 15.5 Combined Avg. = 968 Gallons of gas needed/year

Therefore, (968 gallons of gas) x ($4.59) = $4,442

This is essentially double what Ford put on the window sticker.
Itā€™s only going to continue going up!
The funny part is not the pricing but the admin destroying our oil leases. They feel itā€™s better to pay and waste oil/gas on shipping than to bring it up from our wells.

Oh those shipping barges our the worst polluters in the world! Not green at all. One tanker creates the same emissions as 50,000,000 vehicles!

I doubt there is any chance of that - no one is buying these for economy. Mostly just kidding about which one I'd use. However the Rubi Diesel is excellent and I cannot complain about the 400+ mile range even with the tiny 18 gal tank (more like 24mpg on highway). The Raptor will probably require premium fuel so cost difference will be nil. Neither of these will be a daily driver regardless.
The range is more important stopping every five minutes for gas gets old, still on the fence as to daily driver or weekend warrior.

If they are saying 15, 13 is more realistic. My round trip to work is going to be $20 a day
Why would that be? They are saying 17 for my Sasquatched Badlands 2.7L 4 door and Iā€™m averaging 19. In the right conditions I can get over 20.

Allegedly. There are also plenty werenā€™t. Regardless the optics arenā€™t good.
They are a drop in the bucket compared to the number of guys that ordered 6 months ago and already have theirs

Annual fuel cost based on gas at $2.35 a gallon šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£
I can't even remember when gas was that. Why don't they just say it's based off $1 a gallon with annual fuel costs of $700. Makes it sound like its good on gas. haha

The Raptor is very similar to the setup of the Wrangler Rubicon 392 and is rated 13 mpg in the city, 17 mpg on the highway, and 14 mpg combined.
On a heavy vehicle, you don't make lots of power, with a lot of mass to move with those big tires and get good gas mileage.

I'm pretty sure my dad's 1939 Packard with a V12 got better gas mileage than a Bronco Raptor.

(Maybe better even than my Black Diamond the way things are looking)
