I've bought on car from a Serramonte dealer (not Ford) and shopped several others in the past, and almost all were universally overpriced and staffed with rude salespeople. Good to see at least one has acknowledged current conditions and is trying outreach thru forums like this.

Testimonial: I bought my Bronco from @Gloff / Serramonte Ford and had a great experience. This was in the early days when Ford reneged on X-plan pricing and people were figuring out which dealers were legit and which were going to hit buyers with a lot of extra charges and markups. They communicated very well (as Ford strung out early reservation holders) and honored their deal.

I was at the local dealer in Portland, they still had a $10k markup on their Braptors. I hope they go out of business.

Like real estate, location means everything even in the auto industry. Here on the east coast, deals are being had between $16-$20k off MSRP. A few weeks ago, I got $16k off MSRP for a fresh build '24 from a local NY dealer. Some '23's that are still lingering are going for $20k or more off. I hope the west coast starts to see discounts like this soon. Heck, it may be worth buying here and shipping out west since the prospective buyer may still come out way ahead. Just food for thought.
