I was feeling lonely on this side on the road with December reservations while everybody is talking about July and September reservations haha
Yup, same here (12/04). But I really don't want to convert until I know what all will be different for my MY22. So, do I HAVE to convert by 3/19/2021 to keep my reservation slot for delivery of a MY22 or MY23 at this rate?

I have a reservation that had been converted by my dealership without my consent on the 20th of January. I got an email from Ford confirming that order, sent on that same day. I then went to dealership in person last Tuesday (the 26th) and asked them to do it right. So I left dealer with a sheet that says "preview order" and has all the options I actually want for my build. And priority code on there is 19. I do not see a VIN identified, like some others in this thread mentioned. But it's been almost a week and I haven't seen any further confirmation email from Ford that this order change/update went through. When I called the Ford customer care hotline just now, the guy wasn't so helpful, and couldn't tell me if I'd be getting a new email confirmation or not. But he did seem to see the 26th date on his system which hopefully confirms the update. I'm just hoping to get some kind of confirmation that my correct order will be in the system before the March 19 cut off date. Anyone know if I should still expect a confirmation email from Ford with the correct options for my build before then? Thanks in advance.

Ok but I’ve got a 99 and I placed an order for a first edition. Should I be worried and contacting my dealer on Monday? I did order the mod top and black interior, would that be why I’m a 99?
I would. I also have a FE reservation and I have p code 10. FEs should not be delivered in 22 and can't be made in 22

Ford a Badlands 2dr, 2.7L,standard options, body color modular top. I spoke with my dealer today about converting reservation to an order...and since I want a 2.7L (high demand) modular top preferably body color (late availability) and when I placed my reservation Aug 18th, looks like I'll be waiting and ordering a 2022...(Note-The dealer had 67 reservations and the first 21 would be 2021's, my revervation fell outside of that number...) so according to my dearler there is no need to convert to an order at this time. I thought I might need to convert by March.....but considering what I want a 2021 is not going to happen. I Still have a reservation date stamp which helps with when I'll get a 2022.

There were still some things up in the air which I completely understand. No price on body color top plus I want dual tops a convertable along with the HT. I noticed the 4dr has a dual top option and the price for both isn't to bad...way bettter than when pricing the conv seperately. Hopefully this will go over to the 2dr also. Plus the price on the 4dr dual top option may be for a vinyl top and I want the twill top.

Besides if waiting for a 22, then manufacturing issues with the new model will be worked out and gives them time to fine tune assembly, alter fixutres, address multiple issues and lets not forget give the line workers more time to become efficent...all issues with new models in the 1st year. Plus MAYBE by then a manual tranny will be available..probably just a pipe dream on my part,

Not sure if the system would automatically send out a new email every time the order is modified.

From the way that it sounds from your story, I’d say your corrected order was entered and you’re okay. Good on you for getting the order sheet. That’s really how any of us consumers will know what was actually entered. If you’ve got one from the 26th that shows the correct options, that’s probably the best you could expect.

I do want to clarify something:

Your VIN will only get assigned a couple weeks before your Bronco is actually built... that’s what Ford means when they say your build is “scheduled.”

All the way until that point you can still modify your order. So your order is in by the MY21 order cutoff in March... in April/May you’ll get a “Delivery Estimate” from Ford telling you when you can roughly expect your build to be scheduled, and any options you selected that might cause a delay.

After you receive that, not only can you, but Ford is expecting people to modify their orders.

Ford has even explicitly said that if they announce MY22 features you want, you can request your order be suspended and pushed to MY22 to include those options (if your delivery estimate put you receiving a MY21).

Sooooo this sounds exactly like what I need to hear. Do you have a link to that announcement anywhere - I would like to take it to my dealership with me when I go in.

I’m pretty busy this morning so I won’t be able to search the forum for you... someone else may have the links handy.

I do know Estaban talked about editing your order in the hostage video.

Is there a specific part of what I posted you want the reference for... or just like, all of it?

Good AM. My name is Jason and I'm a new forum member as of yesterday. While I've utilized this site for guidance, I felt it was necessary to join and contribute. After making my reservation on 7/27, I converted this to an order last Friday. I reside in Wake Forest, NC and my preferred dealer is Crossroads Ford of Wake Forest.

During my visit last Friday, things started off a little bumpy. To begin, I was informed that X-Plan would not be honored for a '21 2-door Big Bend I was attempting to order. I then proceeded to wait for my salesperson since they decided to sell a vehicle during the same time as my scheduled appointment. Approximately 30-minutes later, I was asked to provide a payment option for my $500 down payment. It was at this time that I informed the salesperson when we were going to build the truck. He appeared shocked by my response which resulted in an additional 30-minute delay so he could continue to sell a car. Finally, he surfaced and we built the truck on a guest computer. He asked me to print the build making a copy for himself. I was then instructed to wait, again, until a finance resource could collect my deposit. It was at this time I was tired of waiting and said I was heading home. If he needed the deposit, he would need to collect at that time. Oddly enough, we went from a snail's pace to sprinting. After my deposit was paid, he informed me we were good to go.

After reviewing comments in this forum, I learned that I should be expecting an email confirmation from Ford. Since that did not happen, I reached out to Ford and spoke with a Bronco specialist. While I had her on the phone, she also confirmed that X-Plan was not being offered. However, I am hearing about others receiving this promotion. I'm guessing this is dependent on each dealer and my dealer has decided not to honor. The specialist then advised me to contact my dealer to determine why I did not receive the order confirmation. On my way home from work yesterday, I decided to stop in and request a copy of the build sheet. Once provided, I realized the order was incorrect and was for a base Big Bend in the wrong color and no options. He grabbed my initial build overview and we started making revisions. After he crossed off a number of incorrect selections, he advised me the person submitting the order would be in today to correct. While I reviewed the document, I also noticed my priority score was 99. Based on what I've read here, my dealer's 49 allocations are more-than-likely not going to equate to my '21 order. BTW, I am ordering a '21 2-door Big Bend in Cactus Gray with Mid and Sasquatch packages. I also added the aux lighting and LED lights.

In closing, I feel the dealer could care less about my order. I honestly believe they would prefer I cancel my order so they can simply add to their stock and mark it up $5-10K over MSRP. Since I have already converted to an order, do I have any recourse here? Based on what I've provided, do I simply need to suck it up because the dealer has me here? At one point I considered contacting Ford to see if they could transfer my order to another dealer. Perhaps one that would honor the X-Plan price.

Thank you,

Jason

P.S. Based on advice I gained from this forum, I also informed my salesperson that I did not want anything added by the dealer. He proceeded to inform me that the only thing the dealer installs is a surface (paint/fabric) protection product that is backed by Ford for 3-years. The cost was $497 and something he felt I could not exclude. Let the frustration continue...

I did a cursory search before asking, but you sounded like you had this:

very clear in your mind so thought you likely knew where you'd heard it from. I will search for the hostage video. Thank you for your help.

So what you are saying is there is a "planned window" between delivery estimates being announced and actual production starting? Can you cite a source?

Ford isn't "planning a window" for people to make changes... What is going to happen is that they will provide delivery estimates to customers, who will then be able to make changes to their orders to remove items that are causing delays.

If you don't have anything causing a delay, and you have a very early reservation, it's conceivable they will start your build very quickly.

Estaban in the hostage video said this very directly. You will be able to modify your order once you are informed of your delivery window.

UPDATE

This afternoon, I receive the order confirmation email from Ford. Moments later, my salesperson emails me a copy of the updated build sheet. This time it looks perfect. Lastly, I noticed the priority code changed from 99 to 19. Nice to see things heading in the right direction following a concerning start.
