The Jeep wrangler doesn’t perform that well on safety ratings each year. Do y’all think the bronco will be the same or is this a very safe off road vehicle?

Considering the roof literally comes off, I'd say it isn't going to get 5 stars

Probably won't be a 5-star rating but I would guess it will perform better than jeep.

Side curtain airbags will help the Bronco, and I am surprised that those are not a required minimum safety feature by now.
Yes, I think the Bronco will out perform the Wrangler.

As other have said, I imagine it'll be better than Jeep but it won't be a 5 star rating either. Removable doors likely doesn't assist in its rating, just the like removable roof won't either.

Surely it will be better than the Jeep Wrangler, just like the MIC top is better ....

It’ll be meaningfully better than the wrangler, enough that it’ll be a deciding factor for a lot of families.

Side curtain airbags are a big plus for me, coming from a JL wrangler. I’m tall and I’ll literally get a concussion on the roll bars if I’m ever in an accident lol my head can touch them just moving around a little bit when driving. Not the best feeling

The Wranglers big problem is that it flips over quite easily.

It also doesn’t do great in a few other tests, but this is the big failure.

The Bronco seems to be stiffer and less likely to roll, but it’s hard to tell just yet.

This is the exact type of accident that created the need for crash bars in front of the tires, so I think that may play into crash safety.

Side air bags kept my dad's head from going thorough the drivers window in his edge when he got hit in the rear drivers wheel. I would think those would help out a score.

Damn. Gotta hope the Bronco does better than that. It always made me feel better to tote my family around in my 20 year old 4Runner knowing it had good crash test ratings. Not sure I’d feel good doing the same in a wrangler after seeing that.

I think Bronco; side curtain airbags and better lighting (all LED headlights) which is also a main criteria.

If you watch the aerial view of the crash tests I think the wrangler flips over because the edge of the barrier they crash into rodes along the shape of the hood, causing the wrangler to tip over. The bronco being square helps it alot.

Both are showing the same rollover ratings on the NHTSA site.
