I can't seem to find any information on the safety rating of the Bronco - just the sports. At what point does that information need to be released? I would have thought before they were available for purchase but apparently not!

Does it really matter?

It take a few months are the vehicle is release. Hopefully they will be out by the end of the year. While this may not be a deciding factor for some, it will be considered as we make our decision.

I hope you're joking here :D. I mean we all know the Wrangler isn't the safest of vehicles and are hoping the Bronco does better.
Yes I was joking. The OP obviously didn’t realize that.

been trying to find as well - i feel like crash test ratings are usually released prior to a vehicles release??? they have to have tested it in some capacity already, no?

It can take quite a while. Vehicles have to satisfy basic safety requirements to be sold, but the IIHS and NHTSA tests are not prereqs for sale, nor is attaining any particular score on either of those.

Crash test ratings are a lot like fuel mileage ratings. There is a specific set of known tests that clever engineers can "game" if they want. In the real world there are about a bazillion other variables that come into play.

Any car today is going to be far safer than a comparable car of ten years ago.

So to further this conversation, what do the crash bars actually do? Is there a solution for the Sasquatch package available that doesn’t compromise any safety precautions by this missing piece?

I am trying to minimize being a position to have my leg amputated

Walking would be the safest way.

You know, I have absolutely no idea about the safety rating of any vehicle I have ever owned.

Are we hoping for a poor one to lower demand so we get our sooner?
