Bronco is a flying brick. I'm sure mpg will be less than what folks expect.

That's a little bit better mpg than I expected. I'm expecting 16-20 out of the Bronco but whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be better than my '91 ram w250 at maybe 8-10mpg.

People don't buy Wranglers and Broncos for MPG, but for SPG. ( smiles per gallon )
That's true, but I'm quite impressed with the mpgs of my '19 Wrangler. We took a westward trip last fall. With all types of driving conditions on, and off road after 5,200 miles the thing average 25.1 mpg. That's one thing that may stop my purchase of a Bronco. It doesn't have to get what the Wrangler gets, but certainly don't want to the sticker on the Bronco say 15 city, 18 highway. If it does I've got a lot of thinking to do.

So about in line with its platform cousin, the Escape. Maybe knock off a MPG on both city/highway figures for the Badlands trim.

I expect the Bronco to get somewhere between the Ranger and the Wrangler. Even the Sport is considered a SUV. It has 4-wheel drive and heavy. Don't expect great crossover mileage.
