The old "two wrongs DO make a right" theory? I'm not sure. Aftermarket, you're our only hope.

Now add the winch option to that.

In all reality, this would be my preferred tie in location on the mod bumper

Well if those two Torx screws are the correct distance apart, that will be where my plate goes and that dumb bracket on the center of the grille will come off immediately. I'm bringing my drill for delivery.

Yuck. I see some creative modifications to make it less horrible in my future.

Based on an earlier pic on this thread, the distance between the 3 bolts is around 5.5". The bolt holes for a license plate are 7" apart. If you want to drill holes in the license plate you could mount it directly to bumper using those bolts. Making an offset bracket using those bolts would be easy enough. I'm sure the aftermarket will sell something for $20 that could be fabbed in 20 minutes for $3 of materials (stainless steel bolts mostly).

Every officer is going to approach this differently... but as a general rule, in my state where it is required, pulling someone over for failing to display a front place is a "good stop" all day long...

...the next question is what else is the officer going to find when they've got you on the side of the road.

If you chose to do it, just be prepared for any and all consequences.
That's exactly what i was thinking.
28 years on the job before retirement. Front tag violations are PC all day. Usually it's one of those things you put in your back pocket to save for another day. Only times I ever wrote for it was for PC on other violations...

Edit: Unless the guy was an ass. Then it could be a stand alone contempt of cop citation...

Here’s the license plate location on a moving vehicle.

Possible idea from Raptor if there is a front license plate issue:

I like your thinking possible moved to the passenger side. I also like this shackle mounted solution

Edit: Your pics appear to be a stonsho

Sheesh, 18 pages and everyone is wrong on this -- That's the phased-array Doppler radar antenna for Ford's Advanced Self-Driving system coming in MY24...Early development phase - integration comes later...same one seen in the Warthog video.
