Wrong. Once again, Ford has said the 2.7 takes 6 quarts.
Me....I am going with the Owner's Manual until I hear from Ford Directly. Even my Dealer agreed the dipstick was incorrect. See below, says 7 Quarts for the 2022 2.7L Bronco. To each his/her own...

Note: My F150 2.7 also took 7 quarts for oil&filter changes.

You must've missed the part where Ford has already came out with a bulletin explaining this. It also says they are in the process of changing all manual and publications from 7 quarts to 6. But you do whatever you want

Must be one of a kind then. Every 2.7 F-150 from 2015 up takes 6 quarts including the filter per the workshop manual.

I don’t understand. How are the dipsticks wrong if the 21 and 22’s are the same except just a change where the twist is?

I don’t think dip sticks are safety related anyway, so either way they wouldn’t have to recall them.

It's more than just a change in where the twist is, the hash marks move up toward the handle on the shorter stick

What do you mean the shorter stick? @cowman said the 2021 and 2022 dip sticks are the same length.
PN MB3Z-6750-B
is 7/8" shorter, solves the 7 vs 6 fill level but unavailable to order.

you seem to be from the camp of 6 being correct despite it being 7 for 18 months. The old stick and your new stick don't change the fill level for 6 quarts being correct. Difference in twist location is different supplier for same thing.

I am from the camp of Ford put in 7, said to replace with 7, the stick is immaterial. Or the shorter stick is correct but it is less expensive for Ford to change the specs than to distribute 50,000 replacement sticks at cost of $10 each

I am on my second BMW WITHOUT a dipstick but instead a 1 quart low level sensor - you put in what the book says to put in and call it a day. These are not the early Hondas that burned a quart/1000 miles. Or even a vehicle from before you were born, when pump jockeys checked your oil every fillup and showed you the stick and if it was a half quart low, well better add some (many times they lied, presented a stick not inserted full length and didn't actually add oil but charged you 50 cents for it - when I started driving gas was $0.34/gallon)

Strange thing is, when I took a picture of my engine build date sticker a website came up from the QR code that I was unable to complete navigation to but from what I could read it said the Lima built 2.7 was a 5 quart oil fill engine.

I stand corrected, it was 6. Thanks

I've ran a 2021 VIN and my own 2022 VIN... MB3Z-6750-B doesn't even come up as a correct number on HVBOM for either one with a 2.7 engine. So I'm not even sure where that number came from?

Honestly I'm really not in a camp lol. My 22 Wildtrak has 7 quarts in it right now, because I changed the oil before the new bulletin from Ford. At this point I'm just trying to put out the correct information for everyone, and the current information from Ford says that 6 quarts is correct.

BTW, this little gem made my oil change a breeze today.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZN1QJR3

Much easier to control than the stock plug.
No one cares, it only matters how much oil you put back in and if you can figure that out then you shouldn’t post on this thread  :p

In all seriousness, I just added that drain plug to my cart for future purchase! Thanks for the link!

Let's assume that is final, 6 qts. Are the dipsticks in early '21s accurate or not?
Yes...I have the original, the Raptor stick, and the new C stick. The C stick measures the exact same distance from seat of the handle to the top hash mark on both the original stick and the C stick. The Raptor stick top hash mark is much higher than the ones on both the original and C stick (because it is intended to measure 7 quarts at that mark...the other two are intended to measure 6). The short story is if your stick has an H symbol on it, it will put 6 quarts at the full mark as shown in the manual.
