Bronco test driver engineer gives some feedback (white and gray grille and tops coming)

I recently spoke with the person who drives Fords for a living. He was able to take some time to discuss the Bronco.

He said if you want to experience the Bronco, test drive a Ranger Crew Cab.

• There will be (5) different wheel options.
• He is buying the Black Diamond for the value and the interior (he likes the wash options).
• There will be white and grey options for the grill and the tops.
• There will be 3 interior versions for the First Edition Bronco.
  • It sounds like, from ( ), that there will be three versions of interior colors on ALL trims.
• The 2.7 is great; so is the 2.3 at lower power.
• There will be a load of factory options!
• Ford is listening to their customer base more than ever...

He loves to drive this vehicle - he currently has a F-150..

So white tops will be available as an option by whom... Ford or Aftermarket distributor? Is this fact or talk?

1) Bronco drives like a Ranger - Unknown but I’d say unlikely given the many differences. Certainly no one from Ford is ever going to publicly confirm that.

2) There will be White grill/top options - Unknown, my guess yes

3) First Edition will have 3 interiors — Proved false from Ford statement. Also something that seems unreasonable for a “test driver” to have known from the get go.

So three statements, one of which is proved false, two still unknown. I’d say the “source“ was marginal at best. Note that source is not even identified as a ”Bronco” “test driver”.

Someone commented on FB responding to a Bronco6g post and said they went to the event and a rep said white tops won’t be available for the first model year. But I crawled up in a ball and wrote it off.

Love the cactus grey/white one we’ve all seen but I’m thinking about bugs getting splattered on that white grill and dirty hands opening white door handles.

Not that it wouldn’t show bugs splattered/dirt too, but I would much prefer a silver metallic grill and door handles over white while keeping the white top. Kind of hoping that’s being considered as an option too.

Henry Ford told me, why sell the Bronco with a white top, when you can sell it with a grey top and then sell them all a white top a year later.

If true for all trims, then OK, I can def. see AMB with a white top and grill. Was starting to hang my hat on CG and try for the 17" CG wheels.
