Mocked up a concept for a Bronco Trail Truck. The idea is it that it's a sport utility truck meant for the trails and trips to Home Depot. Need a real truck? Buy a Ranger.

Specs:
  • Mansquach is standard
  • 2.7L is standard
  • Base trim only, with 5 pages of options
  • Rear door swings open or go down (tail gate)
  • Spare tire can attach to the rear door (tail gate) or front of bed
  • Roof and doors come off like God intended

"When is Ford building this?"
"Why can't I order it yet?"
"Does anybody know how to put power leather window cranks in it?"

You know, what I like even more about this is that since the doors and fenders are easily removed, someone could make a fleetside panel really easily that could make this happen on day one. Hardest part of this is the hardtop.
I am digging this concept, and your comment made me think a little further into it.

If we were to retain the "t-top" potion of the roof, all that would need to be fabricated is the 'rear cabin/front of the bed' portion and the rear glass portion of the cap.... preferably two pieces do the cap can be removed, keeping the bed intact (imo). If a guy had enough time and experience with metal & fiberglass, it is feasible. Better yet, this doesn't seem like too big of an idea for the aftermarket to try...
