Question: This may have already been clarified elsewhere - but is it safe to assume all 6 trim/series identified are solely for the Bronco, and not 3 for the Bronco and 3 ford the Bronco Sport?

that is not safe to say. Except that we do not see any mention of the Bronco Sport engines in this list, the smaller 1-2L EBs.

FWIW, while I know nothing about this, supposedly the rumor on Blue Oval Forums it’s almost less trim-based and more package-based.

If you want a desert racing Bronco, get that package. If you want a rock crawling Bronco, get that specific package. Then I assume mid/high/lux are your typical luxury options, like touchscreen, heated seats, leather, etc.

Just a guess though. That way, you don’t have to pay through the roof to get your certain options. That being said, I’m sure there’s a trade off that we don’t know yet.

Edit: I suppose you can mix and match some packages too for an “ultimate” Bronco. We’ll see on Monday!
What happens on Monday?

It actually makes it easier to market and for the consumer to be upsold. It's all marketing and getting the consumer to sing-song their way to a higher trim. Remember, it's all ball-bearings nowadays.

Anybody else feel like there might be too many trims with too many similar sounding names? Can we get some more Bs in there?

Bronco Base
Bronco Badlands
Bronco Outer Banks
Bronco Big Bend
Bronco Black Diamond

How is the average customer supposed to differentiate these? None of these names mean anything to me so I can’t imagine what each trim is supposed to be.

First edition I can understand. Will the top off roader be the wildtrak or the badlands or the black diamond?
Tell me if the average non-enthusiastic buyer knows the difference off hand between a XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited ---- F series.

No biggie. As for all the "B"s, just easier rhyme to the words "Badlands Bronco", "Big Bend Bronco", "Black Diamond Bronco". In fact there were probably 1000 meetings at Ford discussing these names before they were selected, probably a series of surveys, and so on.

Why don’t we wait until we get the full breakdown of things. These are new yes but going forward once you know what each trim brings you will know the difference.
I see your point about the Bs. A lot of alliteration there, however:

Bronco Base
Pretty much says it all, just the basics.

Bronco Badlands
Gets you through the roughest terrain.

Bronco Outer Banks
For the Champagne and tea set.

Bronco Big Bend
Gots the basics for getting you to the National Park for a day of whatever...

Bronco Black Diamond
For me, this is the diamond in the rough as it the most capable 4-wheeler next to the Badlands. Don't know if that's going to occur to most folk, though.

Wildtrack (OK, no B in the name, but it is still a model.)
Made for desert rally off-track racing. I don't find the name a stretch for that purpose.
