The latter. FE’s aren’t rare nor do they contain any parts not available on other trims.

FE is likely the most produced trim so that notion isn’t going to age well.
Your right because they’re going to make it in 2022…. The production numbers for FEs are well under 5000. Big bend would be the most produced trim for 2021.

A badlands equipped like a fe was $1500-$2000 less. I didn’t fancy the orange accents personally.
2 door vs 4 door
2 doors will take up about half of that number and Ford hasn’t produced 5000 FE’s and the numbers will come in way under that for this year. The 2021 First year First Editions will be the more desirable model for collectors in the future. Sad part is some people reserved an FE and can’t get approved or payments is too high so a few “for sale” units are what we see on the market.
The only reason for that negligible difference is because the bidders mistakenly think the FE is rare but they actually don’t know how many of them were produced.
That’s not a source. That’s merely conjecture and the distinction between number of doors is silly because they’re all hard tops regardless.
