I think the Bronco Sport is a cool vehicle. I would get one, except I no manual transmission, so I am getting a real Bronco instead.

I have heard a few people say it is confusing having more than one Bronco, and I point out Jeep. Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler. They are all Jeep’s.

No difference with Bronco. For a lot of people the Bronco Sport will be a great option.

To be fair.. jeep is the brand, the rest are the models. The correct comparison would be jeep is to ford, and when it comes to bronco and bronco sport.. comparing to a Jeep Wrangler rubicon/Sahara vs a wrangler sport, you find that even a wrangler sport is a true trail rated wrangler. The bronco sport isn’t a true comparable bronco to the full size. However, even with my full size bronco, I feel the bronco sport is still really nice.

While driving to work yesterday:

I passed a Ranger Sport. It was a normal ranger with a Sport Package.

I passed three F-150 Sports. These were Full Size F-150 with a Sports appearance package.

I passed a Wrangler Sport, which is (I believe) the base model Wrangler.

None of these are different MODELS, all are options packages.

I used to own a Countour Sport back in the 90's. It was a base model Contour with a sport tuned suspension, 16Valve motor, stick and tach.

Ford should have stuck to the original plan, and simply paid VW the licensing fee to call it the Bronco Scout. Or discontinued the horrible new Escape and called it the Bronco Escape.
