This is just your regular reminder that the 3.0 is a much beefier engine than the 3.5 and the one we want in the Bronco.

I completely agree.
I wont buy a bronco unless its the 3.0 or a Powerboost with the 7.6kW outlet

in the absense of those, ill wait and buy the first wrangler or ford thats 100% electric. Since Jeep has lots of electric variants doing testing already they’ll likely win that race.

The Wildtrak is for owners who can't afford the Warthog.

Similar to the relationship between the f150 tremor and the GEN3 Raptor

I'm getting a wildtrak even though I would really like a warthog. I just don't want to wait and can easily build something that is also comparable. For my bronco purposes, stock is plenty (famous last words) In my eyes the wildtrak has nothing about it that makes it a high speed offroader compared to a regular squatch or badlands. It's more just an appearance trim. I'm a big fan of the appearance so that's why it's my choice for now, unless something in 2022 catches my eye. The f150 Tremor at least serves a purpose, it is designed to meet the needs of people who want to do hard work and still have a little fun where as a raptor is much more compromised to meet its performance level.
