You will be able to change the dash, same with front grill etc. I'm actually thinking about getting my seats from a brand new Bronco partially reupholstered..it's crazy
Ah, never thought about simply swapping dash parts. I am hoping by the time I get to order (July 20th reservation) there may be more info on some of these mods.

Yep, we think alike! I have already called a few auto re-upholstery specialists in my area for quotes. It is pricey though and it's better if we wait till a mainstream company makes a slip cover for the Bronco seats (vs. custom). We need to share some of this info as it comes available. If doable, I will definitely keep the WT order.

If I keep my order (July 14th) then I'll for sure switch to the badlands. The CO accents are better than the blue ones in my opinion.

That was my plan, but with the pricing correction on the auto it push the BL just above my self imposed cap. Since I really don't care for their steel front bumper and don't want the disconnect enough to pay for it, have a hard time increasing the cap for stuff I don't want.

Would go with the Black Diamond but I want the 12" screen and don't see value in the Outer Banks compared to the WT (also do not like the interior options), really only leaves me with the WT. So I either need to decide I am OK with the crappy interior or just cancel and buy another Jeep, maybe the new 4xe.

rhey should have just had 2 trims (black diamond build and big bend build), and then from there offer all the upgrades (skid plates, sway bar, leather, etc). So many people would probably buy a black diamond or big bend over the higher trims if high or lux packages were offered.

Probably would have been a lot more happy customers if you could pick and choose some individual options a little more.

What they SHOULD have done is offer up basic Black/Gray Cloth for the Lower Trims... then once you hit OBX ... Offer up Cloth or MGV and in their Black/Gray, Black/Brown, Black/Sandstone.

But regardless.. the tops of the dash should be Dark.. maybe the Middle panel used to the Themed Color.

(Or do what jeep did and just make it Red regardless ... not!)

I'm pretty sure this is a reason, in part, why Katzkin is so popular for some vehicles.
Just take a look at what they currently offer for the '21 F-150.
'21 F-150 pre-made designs

Swapping the dash and or parts from the dash is very possible and I'm pretty sure the center section, which acts as the bezel for the 8 inch or 12 inch display, is held in by push in clips and maybe a few screws, which would make it an easy swap from model to model.
The down side to a dash swap is more or less the wait for parts to arrive, and at this point, I'm not even sure if it's even the whole dash that needs to be replaced, or if it comes in upper and lower sections. It's all speculation until an exploded view of the OEM parts list become available.

I've been looking at the exploded parts views for the Bronco Sport and the upper instrument panel for it is over $1600, just for an example. part number 04320A

I did hint in one of my prior posts about another alternative to recolor the upper dash, and have had time to look into it. It is a feasible alternative and is still used by shops (interior restoration, and body shops).
I was just uncertain if they were still in the business of supplying it, since I had used it many years ago in the body shop I worked at. I had also used it on a couple theft recovery vehicles I bought to fix up and sell.

It's called Colorbond Interior paint (you can google it for more info). It's not like the Duplicolor version and it is a much better alternative that has SAE certifications and OEM certified colors.

If I decide to go back to Wildtrak, or possible go Outerbanks, the Colorbond route to recolor the upper tan (bronze/navy pier on O.B) is the way I'm going. I've used the stuff and know it works, but like any paint/recolor that's done, surface prep is key to how it will turn out and last.

Good stuff. I will look into Colorbond too. I painted my dash back in HS from brown to black but used duplicolor. For an 18 year old HS budget, it actually came out well. But for the Bronco, I may look into seeing how much a specialist charges. We could do the same for the tan color on the other area of the dash and doors too! The good news is that we have options.

It’s been reported that that interior is actually cloth. Looks great though!
I like it too. Will look like nothing else on the road and really stand out! Don't really get all the hate, although I would probably get MGV in the Wildtrak if offered.

I probably should've included another link I was sent, from an good buddy I used to work with when I did auto body refinish/repair work.

I bumped into him on Facebook over the holidays and the subject of the new full size Bronco happened to come up. One of his younger brothers has a reservation in for an Outer Banks and doesn't like the dash color choices. He wants to have the Bronze parts re-colored to Black, once it's figured out how the whole dash assembly is put together. (same train of thought as me)

Anyway, he sent me a link from a C5 Corvette forum about a person who 'updated' their interior.
Decent read & food for thought.

Going that far on a $50k+ vehicle, like some Bronco builds, seems nuts, but unless Ford changes things (highly unlikely for MY '21 and maybe '22), there are those of us daring (or crazy) enough to do this.

Also, the upper instrument panel shot, from the cup holder thread the other day, and the dash shots from the 2-Badlands walk-around video have given me a really good idea of how the whole instrument panel is put together. (I just NEED an exploded assembly view to confirm it)

@Slyder Good stuff. Thanks for the link. I am saving for reading at work tomorrow ;). Like you, I am willing to fix this interior myself if I have to!

Yeah, it's part of the actual door frame, that's why I would outline it to see how to approach it.
Could be wrong but If that exterior colored trim on the interior door panel was actually part of the metal door, why isn't there any red showing on the interior door panels of the last picture on page 1 with the leather trimmed viynl?

Never mind, could be a 4 door.

Any word on if the Bronco cloth will have any special properties?

I thought in that interior video they mentioned something but don't recall if it was dirt resistant or just hides dirt ;)

I would prefer cloth over hot ass MGV or leather. I'll probably end up putting covers over it either way.
