How much more torque do you need for a 4k lb off-road vehicle? 425 foot pounds is already an insane amount IMO.

Serious question - maybe Im overlooking something.

The appeal, for me at least, would be in longevity. A Diesel engine properly maintained will outlive a gasoline engine…. But I’m happy with the 2.3L I have ordered.
I think you should be. It’s a great engine in my Ranger. Plenty of power and handles well.

The 4BT is a rattletrap that doesn't belong in anything from this century. A R2.8 Cummins would be a much better match for a Bronco.

Add a harmonic balancer and that should help with vibration
Anyway I’m just stating that Ford could make a 4 cylinder power stroke and offer a diesel Bronco to complete with Jeep Wrangler
