The trip sounds good too. If I'm lucky I take delivery next week assuming Thanksgiving doesn't throw a kink in the process. 🤞

Took my Big Bend out to the 4x4 beach today, and I ran into a couple that had an Outer Banks Sas while I was out there! They were kind enough to let me snap a picture.

The 2.3 auto combo performed far beyond expectation on the soft sands in the Outer Banks. There is little to no turbo lag, and more than enough grunt to turn the 33” tires on demand. I’ve driven a few different vehicles out here from Jk Wranglers, Tj Wranglers, 6.0 and V10 Excursions, and a 3.5 equipped F-150. The Bronco felt right at home, unlike anything else I’ve ever driven. Using the Sand G.O.A.T. mode, the increased throttle response was noticeable and helpful. I couldn’t sense an ounce of wheel spin.

The 285/75/17 Toyo AT3’s fit without any rubbing, and at 25 psi seemed to float over the sand. My BB is a base, with 3.73 axles and no locking differentials.

Would anyone be interested in a Bronco Take-over sometime next summer?? It’s probably my favorite thing to do in the OB! We could organize food and maybe a small giveaway. If you’ve never been out there, I would HIGHLY recommend it.

I'm up for a Corolla Bronco venture with my OBX, if its in April or early May. Outer Banks gets too busy, crowded and expensive starting mid-May.

Great Photos! What is your camera setup?
The Toyo's look really good as well. I'm in Atlanta might be able to make it up for a meet. I'll be following this

Love the 75 series tires. Nothing beats sidewall off road, and put some air in them and they are no problem on road. Skinny stock rims look good and give you a touch more height.

I would be up for it. I am in Charlotte so would be a good drive but would definitely try to make a scheduled trip. I would like to take our daughter to the outer banks since that is where my wife and I got engaged!
6 hours is all. We've done it. From home it's actually 13 hours so we split the trip. Used to start at 11PM or later and drive straight through with kids sleeping all the way but not anymore

Sort of, but not on the driving part. There are lots to rent in the offroad section plus a scattering of homes which are more easily accessed by boat, lol. And a couple of actual campgrounds further south in KDH and below Oregon Inlet. There's one on Okracoke Island but you only get to it by ferry. The closest pay to stay campground is probably Kitty Hawk RV Park and although everything has sand underfoot it is onlybon the beach during hurricanes, lol

Thanks for moving me to the proper forum. These admins are top notch.
Should have copied the images/post it to the CG Bronco Club. Like seeing the CG in the wild and the same color too.
