Most of the dealerships in Northern Virginia are the same way, where the business strategy is to wait until someone with a suitcase full of money walks in and drops it on the counter for the privilege of purchasing from them.I'm so glad I switched dealers, thankfully not to this one. I do think this is the first though that I've actually had someone trying to convince me that a full sticker price is a good deal.
Went through that in 17 with my Raptor. Purchase price was going to be sticker + $10,000 + the āprocessing fee.ā I was overseas at the time and told them flat out I wasnāt going to do that. They didnāt care as someone would do it without hesitation so there was no incentive to work with me and they were convinced Iād do the same thing.
I proceeded to narrow my search to 3 trucks on 3 different lots in 3 states. I sent one final message to them with them all on the same note saying whoever has the best truck at the best price with the best customer service wins, and that I didnāt care how far I had to drive it to get it home. Winner was Ben Davis Ford in Auburn Indiana... 8 hours away. Well worth the drive for the great customer service and price on a fantastic truck.
