If the ordering system is open the order can be input but not transmitted to ford until ford starts accepting the orders.

Order bank isn't opening until at least December. B&P will be up well before that timeframe. We should hopefully have an order guide around the same time as B&P.

Also, why is none of this being communicated to reservation holders? I shouldn't need to scan the web for articles when Ford should be emailing it.

Because the Ford PR guy is too busy on twitter worrying about the presidential race than communicating meaningful information about a vehicle that seems like they only really started working on this year sometime.

A little confused about how you actually pick your dealer. Everything has said you choose your dealer at the reservation time, and are allowed to change it once before 10/31. But reading all the snippets about the Build & Price finally being released in October, it seems to say you will build your vehicle with options, etc, then choose your dealer.

"In mid-October, Ford is planning to allow Bronco reservation-holders into the system and custom design their two-door or four-door Bronco. This is known as the build, price and spec process. Official orders will need to be placed by the end of January 2021 and at that point, buyers will select their dealer of choice. "

Loss of credibility! Waiting for them to bait and switch the pricing and delivery. Ford keeps dragging their feet while other manufacturers introduce new generation models for 2021 and 2022... in this 50k market space.
