All of this sounds fine and reasonable to me?

Obviously I want my Bronco as soon as possible, but I also understood what I signed up for from the beginning.

From the article:

Build and price just days away
In mid-October, Ford is planning to allow Bronco reservation-holders into the system and custom design their two-door or four-door Bronco. This is known as the build, price and spec process. Official orders will need to be placed by the end of January 2021 and at that point, buyers will select their dealer of choice.

During this process, the order program will suggest nearby dealers based on the ZIP Code of the customer. In a twist, the customers will choose their dealers rather than the dealers getting a big inventory and inviting people to shop in the first year.
I'll believe it when I see it.

Good things come to those who wait!
And the more I think about it, waiting is becoming a viable option. Sure I was sucked in at launch. I just had to have it. But for a 50K purchase sight (mostly) unseen without a test drive or even test-drive impressions from others, there's a lot of unknowns. I still have a reservation, but waiting until there's stock at the dealer to test drive and real colors to see, along with some beta from early-adopters is becoming a option. Now before you say get out of line, I'm a late 103. The only folks I would be helping are the October-surprise folks at Granger.

I wonder if the B&P will have an option for therapy after all of this emotional stress they keep putting us through.

At this point, the only thing a B&P release date is good for is a Halloween costume

Anyone else notice this...specifically allowing "Bronco reservation-holders into the system". This makes sense.

Will be interesting to see if they open it to just those with a reservation!

My favorite quote from this article is " Our dealers tell us they haven’t seen this level of enthusiasm for a new product since the original Mustang," How old are these people?
I like that they think most dealers are honest and their comments are believable.

All signs here, as others have said, point to Ford making every effort to soften expectations. Granger's new offer, which is not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, is another sign. Ford is telling dealers to do what they can to attract people to the 2022 Delivery waiting area. Ford can't handle all these reservations and the frustrating steps they've taken since The Big Reveal suggest they weren't prepared at all.
