From the article:

Build and price just days away
In mid-October, Ford is planning to allow Bronco reservation-holders into the system and custom design their two-door or four-door Bronco. This is known as the build, price and spec process. Official orders will need to be placed by the end of January 2021 and at that point, buyers will select their dealer of choice.

During this process, the order program will suggest nearby dealers based on the ZIP Code of the customer. In a twist, the customers will choose their dealers rather than the dealers getting a big inventory and inviting people to shop in the first year.
So mid October really means November.

I have a feeling things are going to get weird really fast. Something just doesn’t add up. Now I have to decide if I want to go up to the dealership at the end of next week and check out the bronco sport training lol

That Sport Badlands in Kodiak Brown is looking tempting when you got a hole burning in your pocket...I could be enjoying the outdoors this Spring (like actual Spring...not "BY" Spring).

Exactly my thoughts. Keep this crap up and I’ll likely bag the whole thing and keep driving my beater, it’s paid for!
...I'm thinking the same thing...If not not hearing about my number being in my driveway by June,I'll keep my Edge...it rides good and the extended warranty is good till the end of 2023,and for another 43k miles...

This the first car I've ever gone through the reservation process on so I have no basis for comparison but does it always feel this disjointed and rushed? On one hand it's really fun to be part of the "process" but it's also aggravating at the same time. Almost feels like the Bronco should have been a 2022 model ?

I don’t think they know. I reserved mine on 29 July and I think I was the first 10 or so in the reservation line for my dealer that has now become hundreds? Holy $hit balls. I honestly wonder how many of these they will be able to manufacture in the first year. I also wonder if some of those dates aren’t worst case scenario. After all the dates getting messed up I wonder if they plan to have the out sooner, but maybe June is the worst case? God I hope so. I hope mine is here by June as well, but the way they have us thinking some of us think we’d be lucky if we get it by the end of 2022. So I agree should’ve just been called a 2022

I was thinking the same thing today at work.

My Tacoma is has been paid off for over 6 years and only has 84K miles on it,and my commuter civic is paid off as well

Why are they saying we’ll be selecting dealers during the ordering process? Don’t any dealer changes need to be done by Oct 31?
