I don’t know if this has been mentioned in the 71 pages, but doesn’t this wording seem that the MICs are standard because the FE and WT are still getting black modular tops? I would think not because of the emails, but one can only wonder.
Gosh I hope so..

I also agree with you on the Rock Rails. If it is true that you have to pay for that even after adding the Sasquatch to your build (I am not certain of that BTW), then I am further convinced Ford has moved into the gouging business. It was CLEARLY STATED that the Rock Rails were included in the Sasquatch package some time ago.
I like to dump on Ford as much as the next guy but at no point have they ever said rock rails were included with Sasquatch or any model other than Black Diamond, FE or Badlands. Sasquatch gets the extended fender flares.

I don't keep up on FE, but the WT was supposed to come with the Black Hardtop. Because those are not happening, Ford is going to build them with the MIC top Standard and dropped the price $1,8nn.

IF you are one that MUST have the Black top, you can now select that as an add on, knowing that it will cause your WT to be delayed.

At the point that the Vendors sort out the Black top issues, I suspect Ford will switch back to the Black as being standard as well as increase the starting price back to include it.... my guess.... 2022 models.

So if you don't mind the MIC like me, nows the time before they fix the issues and raise the price back up.

Has anyone seen any info on NOT ordering this year and still being able to keep a reasonable timeframe for submitting a 22/23MY? My bar for Ford was already pretty low but this first model year has absolutely been disqualified in my mind as a reasonable daily driver after all the delays and miscommunication. I’m hoping in a year or two they can maybe stop having all the recalls in their lineup and maybe move up on the J.D. Power reliability rankings. I tip my hat to people who can put $60k on a fun weekend vehicle that they can abuse but in my mind the value for this vehicle just isn’t there right now. No 2.7/manual option, no manual with mid on BB/BD, no standalone winter package, no standalone audio upgrade, no standalone front locker upgrade, no painted tops, and not that it matters because I wanted an actual lift kit but no Sas/manual. I might be average at reading social cues but if I didn’t know any better I would say Ford is giving plenty of hints that this vehicle will actually be realized the way it should be in a few years, who knows maybe they’ll actually have all of those 300 accessories they were talking about by then? ?

So according to the video, min 14, he clearly says...if you want a 4 door with Sas, you can't get roof rails and to wait for 2022...WTH? Before I lose my mind, can we order the rails from the dealer after delivery OR will they simply not be compatible?

This was probably brought up elsewhere in the thread, but did I read the Ford announcement right? The Mid Package will no longer include the automatic transmission? It will be an additional cost? If so $1595 is a lot of extra money, and will probably force me down to the Base model. I am hoping I'm wrong.

Sounds almost like I might want to delay my purchase until the MY22 edition. I wonder if there's a way to intentionally delay that while still retaining reservation...

I had two reservations: 7/14 and 7/23. I canceled my 7/23 and created a new one a few days ago. That will give me some flexibility if I decide to not convert my 7/14 reservation into a 2021 Bronco.

b & p still out of wack....

I cant have roof rails with hard top (MIC) with sasquatch with manual tranny, badlands 4 door.
The seemingly illogical restrictions are intentional due to GVWR restrictions. Ford is just playing by the rules.

ADMINISTRATOR: Maybe post on the home page that people can buy add-on stuff from the dealer or aftermarket....so just roll with whatever B&P pops up with.

Ford is giving us everything they can witching the legal guidelines.

I totally get separating the advanced 4x4 and 10-speed auto options and charging for them that should have a value associated with them. I don't have to like it but I accept it as a building error when you compare it to the standard and available options in the "compare models.pdf" Ford put out earlier this summer.

What I think is a little odd is there is no credit given for the standard soft top on the 4 door if you switch to the hardtop and even more odd is the price differential between dual and stand-alone MIC and modular hardtops. I would think there would be some credit for standard soft top.

Ford Bronco Build & Price Update from Ford – Q&A with Bronco Brand Manager Bronco Hard-Top Options.JPG

MIC Hard Top - $695
Dual Tops - Soft/MIC Hard Top - $1,795 (difference $1,100)
Modular Hard Top - $1,895
Dual Tops - Soft/Modular Hard Top - $2,495 (difference $600)

Then there is the price differential between the MIC and the Modular and the two dual top options

$1,200 between MIC and Modular
$700 between the Dual-MIC and Dual Modular

I also understand there is additional work associated with installing a hard top that is not involved in a soft top. But that doesn't seem to explain the difference in price between the MIC and Modular either.

Soft Top - $Value??? - Is it the $1,100 price differential between MIC and Dual - Soft MIC or the $600 price differential between the modular and the Dual - Soft/Modular. The $600 price difference seems more market for a soft-top, which would seem to mean that the Modular should be priced at approx $1,295 or $1,395 after a $500-$600 credit from the soft top option not being selected.

I know by writing this I might have just caused the price to go up (LOL), but the pricing seems a little off intuitively. It seems Ford is trying to steer customers to the MIC with the pricing to avoid supply chain issues but I could be wrong.

No one knows (Probably not even Ford) bit it could simply be that you are getting a price discount for buying the top of the line top with the soft.

But you are correct, it could be another Price bug or it could be manipulation.

Frankly if Ford really wanted to push back reservations, all they have to do is offer a white top in 2022, some different color choices, and a Manual with the v6.... oh wait... they did ;)
