There will be more ways to customize the modular, hence the name. But past a certain point of customization, it's worth getting the capable bumper from the factory and simply buying an aftermarket replacement.

Personally the two things I want are steel and fogs, so the capable has me covered.

All that aside, most people will just get what they think looks better.

This describes the modular bumper. Capable obviously does not have removable end caps.
wait - are you saying there's misinformation from Ford? No way... say it ain't so! /sarcasm ....
I'm so tired of their half-assed approach to EVERYTHING

I am going modular mostly for looks and the lighting options aftermarket is coming up with for the wings on the end.

How else am I going to use up those aux switches?

My thoughts...
capable looks very stock and bulky. Big improvement over stock though.
Modular does not take away from the grill allows the tires and suspention to show off. I tend to like the smaller bumpers/ prerunner look so this will probably hold me over for a few years until I want to change up the look.

I'm sticking with the Heavy Duty modular on my Badlands. Besides, I already bought a fog kit to fit in the cut out space.

I think it does. They just aren’t on the ends like the modular. It looks like they are removable. But they mount to the back of the bumper instead of the end.
