Any dealers out there offering X-plan or any other good purchase price deal that would take credit cards for the entire purchase?
Would be nice to grab some reward points especially combined with a few new card offers. Could net a grand or two worth of points if done correctly.

Would be curious if the dealerships making offers for group buys would be encourage to do this to move more folks towards them to make their purchase

Frequent Flyer Miles much?

I can't talk, I bought my Motorhome on a CC that was negative balance (paid the motorhome off and called the CC company to make the purchase). The bonus points were too sweet to pass up.

OMG don't pay for a car with a credit card, your APR will be terrible (unless you miraculously get a 3% or less)

Entire purchase? Lol. Maybe for the down payment so I can get airline miles but that’s it.

IF they allow it, most dealerships tack on a huge fee if you want to pay with CC - and even then you can usually only put around 10K of the purchase price on the card.

This. However, you can charge $5k- $10k to the card once a day till paid. It works. Also, the dealer did NOT charge a fee.

Every dealer I have seen charges a fee (3% or so), that makes it a net loss with points...otherwise I would do it in a hearbeat and pay it off that month. I've looked into it.

I've paid for big ticket items with a credit card but only because I had the money in the bank to pay for it that month. I would do it with a Bronco if I plan on paying cash for it.

I'm guessing the OP is just using a CC to get the rewards points and float for 30-45 days. You better have the means to pay it off before APR kicks in though.

Otherwise, don't use a CC OP.

Free float is always nice. If you can't afford, beg borrow or steal the $$$ to pay it off quickly than it's a losing venture.
