Has anyone compared Cactus Gray to Avalanche Gray? I was just out and saw a Raptor in this color. My immediate thought is that this is very similar to what I think (and hope) Cactus Gray looks like in real life. Live, the Avalanche Gray had a bluish cast to it, but in pictures it seems to be pure gray, bluish gray, or even tan gray.

That truck just looks white to me. Funny how differently we all see colors.

In the second picture look over the bed at the white truck in the background. You can see the difference there. I've thought the same thing in some of the pictures of Cactus Gray - it just depends on what else is in the pic.

Similar in that they are flat light Greys

Avalanche is lighter, and cactus has a tinge of green
I agree..... I remember that Avalanche Grey, I thought I liked it when I first saw it but fell out of love with it..... I love the Cactus Grey...... It's one that I may get, i have laid hands on one and it's cool. I'm hoping to see more colors in person before I make the jump.

AG is beautiful. Only available in 2017 and it is the best color ever offered on the raptor. CG is very similar and for this reason my bronco will be CG. Hopefully ford will discontinue CG after 2021.

We keep calling non-metallic paint "flat". Flat paint is that finish you see on the Bimmer with black wheels that cuts into your lane as you're slowing down for a red light 😁

It is futile to try to evaluate the subtlety of these colors without a calibrated monitor and color corrected images. Even then it's still probably inadequate. Until you see them in person it's just an exercise in fantasy and torture. Ford, we need the painted samples asap!

I understand BUT everyone also comments that CG looks white.

AG and CG are very similar like that ... in the bright sun it looks white until you put white next to it.

I don’t think they look alike at all, CG is clearly green in comparison.

Since I haven’t seen the cactus gray in person it’s hard to say, but if I had to go just off the pictures, I’d go with avalanche gray. There’s just too much green in cactus gray in some of the pictures. I’d rather not be driving a pastel green vehicle.

It seems to have been around a while, but I'm not familiar with it IRL.

Paint Code DR
CG Paint Code is NE

Not the same, but maybe similar.
