OK Ford, what the hell...these are clearly two different colors.
Which one is right?
I love the one on the Bronco Sport, and hate it on the Bronco.
But I KNOW they are the same color in reality.

I think the sport is the “correct” CGI representation. I read another thread (can’t remember the name) of some who went to dealer that had color swatches and said the cactus gray was just a concrete flat gray. I’d prefer that over any kind of bluish tint. Untimely I’d take lead foot all day long

I’m super confused by this as well. I know a lot of people like the true grey right now. All the photos seem very inconsistent on the cactus grey and area51 colors. If I could get an obnoxiously blue baby blue I’d be all over it. Until such a time I’m a cyber orange man.

Yes - the color on the Bronco colorizer is powder blue and ugly AF. The color on the Bronco Sport colorizer is light concrete gray and perfect (to me).

Luckily I will get to see it in person before I order.

@Lab00Rat Can you share a link to your masterful analysis on Chameleon Cactus Gray?

Typo in my first post. I don’t recall the thread that had the color comparisons. It was a good write up though. Maybe someone will be able to post it. Guy top some pretty nice lights with him to dealer.

I think they actually changed it and added more blue/green color. Guess we will find out when production Sports hit the streets?

Based on the paint cans at Bronco East: Bronco Sport CGI is the correct color.

The color is gray; however, it changes in perceived tone based on its surroundings.

At least this topic brings up a new data point to the discussion!

As we haven't seen a single production vehicle made in Cactus Gray it's still difficult to know where on the color spectrum the color "lives". The Sport we've seen painted was a pre-production, Mexican-built unit so the color might not be final. Also, the paint has not had it's mix of 11 herbs and spices made available to the public. This is the only way to fully know what color Ford is going to produce.

If it turns out to be the incredibly unimaginative and horrific stonewashed khaki color then the decision making of Ford in regards to all colors and materials has been comprehensively dropped or massively impacted by availability due to production shortages. Having a vehicle launch with 60%* colors on the grayscale is as much a failure as the interior colors as shown in their BN video.

They have effectively combined the creativity of a Germanic paint pallet with the interior cohesiveness of a bohemian orgy den.

*Black, white, Dark gray metallic, light gray metallic, Antimatter is effectively black, Cactus Gray being as creative as wet asphalt if just gray.

I want to know where the heck that 2 door Cactus Gray with the paint matched top went. haven't seen it since that first pic. Just dissipated. Those early SAS rims are killer too, or might be just 33s because its a BL. Looks like it has a tire cover too.

::edit:: apparently this was a clay model.

The sport looks more close to real than the crappy CGI Bronco 4-Door.

Wasn't that Bronco just a clay model?
