Can An Order BE Changed After A Vin # Is Issued?

I would like to add roof a roof rack, but don't want to screw up my order.
We got a vin # April 15th with a build week of 6/7, then 7/5, then 6/28 and now 8/23.
It's a 2 door Wildtrak with the 2.7 and MIC top.
First day reservation, first day order and dealer priority code 10.
Worst scenario, I can do aftermarket or Ford after we get it.
For sure don't want to delay it in any way. We're a week away from a year from the reservation day.
Waited 14 months and two days for our 2020 Shelby GT 500

roof rack can be ordered by dealer as accessory, so not a big deal if not part of order. But in general, order/options cannot be changed after VIN is assigned

No kidding, I roll my eyes through the top of my skull every time I read about someone still needing to make changes after this long

Just thought about a roof rack today as a friend mentioned about going canoeing.
After market will work fine.
I'm not changing anything.

100% agree...there are some crazy indecisive people out there though.

I'm more annoyed they assign VINs without have all components prepared for the build. That created a cluster F all in itself...but thats a different conversation for another day
