Hello everyone:

So I have a Wildtrak Hoss 3.0 on order and I know that for some reason it doesn't have full skid plates. I put a list together and was wondering if anyone can confirm that it is complete:

-Front Skid Plate (from the factory)
-Transmission Skid Plate
-Transfer Case skid plate
-Gas tank skid plate (to be determined if from the factory)
-Lower Control Arms
-Rear Shock Skids
-Rear differential skid

Thanks!

I am switching to a Wildtrak with 3.0 when banks reopen. I want to get full skids from factory, but having difficulty telling myself "yes."

If HOSS 3.0 was there from the beginning I would have always been on team Wildtrak.

Well my problem is Ford won't allow me to order the full skid plates with roof rack and safari bar. Weird because it doesn't effect the skid plates at all. But it's cheaper for me to go aftermarket than to get full bash plates from Ford and add roof rack and safari bar later.

I’m guessing it’s a weight limit thing with Ford. There’s other odd combos that don’t exist for the same reason, like adding a roof rack.

You can't have the rack and other accessories with the 'full' skid plates on the Wildtrak (puts you over GVWR). The factory plates are pretty light duty and only cover a few applications. The factory set does not include gas tank plates. With Hoss 3.0 you get he front plate and transfer plate. The Ford kit is similar to the arb kit with 4 pieces. Badlands and I believe the black diamond have frame welded pieces that cover the rear shock mounts. They leave these off other frames. My advise, is get some aluminum plates from ASFIR or a few other manufacturers. Gas tank plates are huge and heavy even in aluminum. If really serious about crawling, then aluminum plates with plastic inserts are the best technology out there.
