Can I sell my reservation?

My financial situation has changed since getting my reservation back in March of 2019. Is selling my reservation even an option? Is there value there to someone perhaps? It’s for a 4dr Badlands Sasquatch Lux package. Changed to soft top to speed up delivery, but that hasn’t happened.

No, you can sell the truck after it comes in and you buy it…… you aren’t required to buy it when it comes in.

You can't sell the reservation but if you buy it you can sell the truck after for a profit.

Most people are just putting new orders and getting their vehicles right away over reservation holders. At this point you would have to pay someone to take it off your hands, but yeah as mentioned you cant sell or transfer it.

Reservation has to be used by and sold to the reservation holder, Ford made sure of that, and that's good for all of us so the reservation can't become a marketable commodity, becoming a 'Stub Hub' type resale market. What a mess that would be.

Maybe you can negotiate with your dealer that you'll let him keep the vehicle, in exchange for future considerations, like letting you order at sticker price (no mark-up) in the future, if you give up your order now. That way, they can take your current car, and resell when it arrives.
