Can you install the Bronco Hard top by yourself?

I’m hoping they make a Lange Hoist for the Bronco. Anyone have one of these?

My buddy is a 25 year Jeep owner and he hooked up an electric boat winch to a DIY lift like this one. I'm going to get some sort of hoist, likely powered.

I already had a JKU hardtop hoist, but I added a couple of kayak hoist today mainly to handle the Bronco 2nd row piece. This lets me do it by myself.

I’m quite a bit skinnier than you and was thinking about attempting this. I was able to take it off and use the same method you do aka find some grass and fall down lol
but at 170lbs I think I may phone a friend for the install.

for what it’s worth, I’ve had zero leak issues so far and have removed and installed 3 total times now.

edit: after reading that back to myself I am most definitely not calling you fat lol just meant I’m not a huge guy and was able to do the removal. It was definitely a challenge though. It’s not so much that it’s heavy it’s just very awkward balancing.

You need a step up platform. I'm a good bit over 40 - decent size at 6'3" 230lbs and I can manage it (when I have to) on our 95 Bronco on 35s. But like has been posted, helluva lot easier just to rig some ratchet straps for removing and storage. I did it with the 95 Bronco - will figure it out with the '22.
