I got a call from my dealer on Friday! He told me I'm fifth in line with delivery hopefully taking place some time between June and August.

$1,000 refundable deposit required. My order should be submitted some time this week once we kind of finalize my build.

My dealer just sent me an interesting email.

Last week he said he "hadn't heard" if X-Plan was available but would look into it. I just humored him and said sure. Today he emailed me again with an X-Plan quote saying he has verified X-Plan is available.

I feel he is mistaken. But....the numbers came from somewhere. I just wonder, when it comes time to actually pay, and it turns out X-Plan isn't available if I would actually have any recourse.

If there is not X-Plan I'm really struggling to justify the Bronco. My dealer has stated all along that it would be priced at MSRP otherwise. My wife can get plan pricing through a number of dealerships, of different Brands, in the city. The Bronco would be the only vehicle I would have to pay MSRP on if not for X-Plan.

Has anyone else heard that X-Plan will be available in Canada?

I ordered a wildtrak 01-20 at 11 am
As we were ordering tried for painted black roof
it said ( will be delayed ) took that off and no issues.
We will see. I was first at dealer, another guy was waiting while I placed
order.

I was told this in following order.
Bronco incentives Feb ( I will be MSRP ) likely or less.
Friday March 19th conversion period, ( orders start getting pulled)
Likely May / June delivery. to start.
April, full year allocation set,

Note, rough estimate of 60 to 70 thousand Broncos built in My21 ( at best)
Canada will recieve approximately 10% of that, roughly 400 dealers in Canada
do the math,, also there are A dealers and B dealers, A will get more and first.

Hope this helps a little.

yesterday but order was officially put in today, refreshed my ford.ca page and all of a sudden it said Order number not Reservation number with an Order date of 21/01/21 and a bulletin below to contact dealer. I called and was told they couldn't change anything initially when the order was submitted but apparently they can go into the system and modify any order, I want my 4 dr Badlands.

I'm going through Brown Bros. Ford in Vancouver.
They did he same thing to me too. I've contacted them yet. Let me know how it goes with you.

I faxed them a list of order codes today just to help make it easier, made my own print off all the order codes needed for my build just so nothing goes wrong when they do start tweaking the orders. So today I dealt with that and faxed it over to Brown Bros. Ford, as far as I know it was sent over to the guy placing the orders.

Went into my dealer yesterday. Order banks are open on the managers' fancy systems only but should be open to the specialists too by the end of this week. He is guessing July or August for first deliveries assuming nothing else gets held back from suppliers, and that's a big assumption. They also haven't seen invoices yet to set their prices from, but said that the Mach-E came in pretty much bang on at MSRP with some kind of dealer rebate being set up.

The interesting thing was he asked me not to cancel my reservation even if I decide not to get one. They will work with me to bring in a model I might still buy and then if I don't want it in the end they'll sell it on the lot. They are trying to convert everything they can for future allocations. So for anyone who is being asked to put in a non-refundable deposit tell your dealer to go pound sand.

This all sounds a bit off?

The order bank opened on the 19th, this should be the same Canada wide? They all use the same “fancy system” to order (actually not very fancy at all), and it has been working for a week now. I’m not sure why they are telling you to wait until the end of this week for?

As for the prices, that too is all available, perhaps they are hoping they can work some profit into what they sell you? If the price is MSRP and your dealership is wanting to have an invoice to “set their prices from” my guess is they aren’t hoping to find a way to get you a deal, but rather mark up the final sale price?

For me (and I assume others here) I went into the the dealer with my build & price printed out. Salesman printed the orrder list PDF (sheet with all the options & codes) we confirmed every option I had built with the corresponding code. My salesman then went into the General Managers office & ordered the bronco with all the codes, & returned with a printout of my build. The printed copy had my order number, all options (with codes) and a came to the exact price as my build & price, everything including the the $2000 delivery/destination charge was a match.

I was told the usual next step would be informing me of a build date and assigned VIN, but they were well aware of this being very far off compared to when the usually B&P and special factory order a vehicle. Ford has also given them the approximate “May” timeline.

As for the advice to keep your reservation just so they can used it to their advantage, this seems very fishy? I’m not sure they’re even allowed to do that and some dealers in the US are being reprimanded for ordering without the consent of their customers? I believe the $100 reservations are also non transferable and there are consequences for dealers who order Broncos where the reservation name doesn’t match the name on the order? There an in depth thread about both theses situations on this forum, I’d look into this?

I’d sooner order a bronco without any commodity constraints, hope it gets built early, and then sell it privately for my own profit. Don’t let your dealership do it for their own gain (if they’re even allowed), you paid the reservation, it belongs to you, not them!

I do agree that a deposit isn’t required although some/many dealerships ask. Mine didn’t ask for a deposit.

I pushed back and they dropped to 1K but wouldn't go with no deposit. Not sure why, not like they would have a hard time selling it if I didn't buy it. Got a fully loaded (4) door Wildtrack with modular black roof in Carbonized Grey. I would think that would go pretty easy.

It's in their best interest to convert your order whether they sell it to you or off the lot. Tell them you're not putting down another cent for a vehicle you haven't test driven yet.

Asking to keep your reservation even if you don't want to order is fishy. Maybe show your dealer the below punishments if they don't convert orders under the same name

Sorry guys I should be more clear - I told him I was hoping for more tow cap in 2022 and was waffling on my reservation because of that. Given that the ordering period ends in mid March - which is likely before we'd get actual info from Ford on what will be included in MY22 - he asked that instead of cancelling my reservation or letting it expire I come in and work out with them a model that I may still take (if MY22 doesn't give higher tow cap and I stomach the 3500lbs) or if I don't that they could sell on the lot instead.

Where this falls on the spectrum and how many sales they're realistically going to get for the under five and 80% thresholds I cannot say. I fully understand the salesman asking me to come talk with them again before canceling though.
