For my four-door BD, for security of my gear (whether with soft top and soft windows up or down), I’m looking at getting one of these.

At 32” wide, it should fit perfectly between the two tie-down points (of the four) right behind the rear seats. I don’t want to use the mounting hardware and fix it to the floor but rather lock it to the points with rubber-coated cable through the end handles on the box, so I can pull the box out/toward me when needed for access or to move it when carrying large cargo with rear seats down.
Anyone know how much weight those tie-down points can take? If I have this thing full of gear, I don’t want to strain the points.
I am sure this has been addressed on this forum, but I’m not sure what to search for.
