Thank you for this great post (among many). For a minute I was transported back to M6G circa 2013. I am amazed you remembered the progression of all the S550 renderings back to JohnnyGM, WS and chaz. Those were some fun times. I know chaz still drops in sometimes.Yes, this is accurate.
There seriously should be a laugh button next to "like".
It is typical C&D. 6 years ago in the autumn of 2013, very similar BS occurred with the S550 after media were shown the vehicle behind closed doors and a lot of people foolishly took the bait from C&D (EN MASSE).
October 2013 C&D Renderings
If I recall, only one guy back then had a solid lock on the production body (pre-reveal), yet he was chastised for "lame", " 'RONG" renderings.
October 2013 S550 Renderings by Chazcron
Chazcron won that battle in the end, as did another guy named Wildspeed (June 2013 rendering). No one got the S550 right aside from them...and one other in sketching.
That was JohnnyGMachine, who sketched the 2015 Mustang well before it was even testing, spied or to-spec VP1 prototypes even built! Well...except for that Nov 2012 mule.
Late 2012 Sketch of S550 Mustang published in March 2013.
My advice to you all: I would better trust people like TopRecon and Bucked (a la Chazcron, WildSpeed) who need to fix several details to get it right or a talented artist named Josh Byrnes, who works for the rag Carscoops. He should really go solo with those skills too.
IGNORE Car & Driver! Ditto for 90% of other magazines. Only German AutoBild to my knowledge is consistent in most cases or Auto Motor under Sport. In this case, Germany will not have the info you want.
One thing that is great about this group of forums, is that they do not absorb any BS as credible (as a generality). They shot down the BS Mustang renderings from C&D, so do the same now.
Now if we only had a U725 CAD...
