Stopped at a store this morning on the way to work and there was a guy in a mustang convertible getting gas. He had two mountain bikes strapped on the back. After reading pages and pages on this forum about cargo space, leg room, how many kids and dogs you can fit in a two door Bronco...I had to ask the guy WTH (in the nicest possible way for a Texan) was he thinking when he chose this vehicle. He laughed and said...wait for it..."IT'S WHAT I WANTED"!! I know, jaw drop. He said he's an avid cyclist and a die hard Mustang fan. Told me he would've made it work no matter what, even if he had to strap all his gear to the top. (Neat trick on a convertible.) I have an EB and know what the cargo space is like. It has fold and tumble backseat if i want to get groceries or need to pick up a bag of dog food. I make it work. I also have a two door car. Cargo space...none. Backseat leg room...none. I make it work cause it's what I truly wanted. I know everybody is looking for that all in one, take the kids to baseball, get groceries, overlander, haul enough supplies to build a small city, SUV. If the Bronco (2 or 4-door) is what you truly want, then you'll make it work. Pile those 2 X 4s high on that roof rack. Hell or high water, 2' of cargo space, whatever, you'll adapt and over come. Get the one YOU want, damn the man and enjoy the ride. I know I will. ;)

Always true.... however remember a big part of this forum right now is for discussions on purchasing soooo..... people want to explore all aspects of the vehicle in order to make weighted decisions to get exactly "what they want" for the reasons they want it... which is not the same for all...

Have only owned two door sports cars before kids, and having that exact attitude (think IKEA Sofa strapped upside down across the back of a Pontiac Fiero, and bikes, 2x4ā€™s, etc. on roof racks on a Porsche 911).

Now having the last one in his senior year, it is time to get back to my two door ways!

Empty nest is not the reality it used to be for some. I would Iove to have a two door. But at 51 and 49 we are raising my granddaughter. She is 16 months old so a 2 door would never work. Yeah I could make it work. But given the choice I would rather have the practicality over my desires.

Oh man, back in the saddle.

Yes, if I had kids to get in and out of car seats or even back seats, the answer would be different. I am sure whoever made the four door call at Jeep got a lot of flack, but it was brilliant. Honestly, if Jeep hadn't come out with the four door Wrangler, I would probably not even be in this adventure category of vehicle. Other than a breakover belly scrape here and there, I have never felt limited.

You'll be happy and have a lot of fun with four doors too!

Accurate, and that is why they invented the roof rack.

Ford Bronco Cargo/Interior room argument. I saw the Light. 2D440017-6883-4140-BCD9-B967F4797C69

Totally understandable. Our grand is a little older but loves rides in the EB!

That would be awesome. But this will be my daily. Hoping to have an EB some day. I'm sure she will be quite older by the time that happens.

We too were about to be empty nested, then took custody of our two granddaughters, two and half, and 15 months old.

But even if we didnā€™t have our granddaughters, I still wanted the four door, just for the extra room it provides. I had already considered the 4-door wrangler, but was going to get a F150 Crew cab FX4 instead because it was a better fit for us. Till the Bronco came out

Life is to short for me to limit myself to second choice now that the kid's are gone, I am retired, and I have financial stability, so 2-door 2.3 manual with 'extras'. Wife told me your truck, get what you want! (should be noted wife can drive a stick no problem)

I could live with a 2-door, but I want the extra utility of the 4-door. Drop the back seats and I have plenty of room for tools, saw horses, etc. for when we do mission work repairing houses. My little M416 trailer will look great behind the Bronco as well.

Back in the day, I lived for 13 years with a CJ7. Yes you can do a lot if you are properly motivated. Disassembled futon stuffed through the back hatch, love seat carted from one side of campus to the other on the roof, and a large dorm fridge strapped to the hood. The last one was had a cop at a traffic light look at us and just shake their head and wave us through. Good times.
