Carplay audio issues and stutters

Hi everyone. Ive been watching this thread and had an appointment with the dealer to get mine resolved this weekend. Same issues since last October. However, about 2 weeks ago I got an update over air that so far has cured my issues. No more buzzing, camera freezes, or dropped audio during calls. I dont even think the update was intended to fix it, but I’ll take it lol.

It looks like the OTA updates should work as well, mine did not have them so manual update fixed it for me. So far zero issues, looks like this is solved and most people may not need to go in.

Agreed, may not apply to all. I think any update should bring help bring the system into sync. Here was mine that was intended for my sway bar disconnect.

My dealer did the update and it was fixed. The latest over the air update unfixed it and the dealer wont fix it again because “Ford knows there is w problem “

21' First Edition. Having all of these problems now, including the rear camera freezing. I never had the rear camera freeze, that was an issued recall months ago. The only original issue I had and still have, is my driver side mirror camera not working. It requires a drive, or a couple push and pull to the entire mirror unit itself for it to connect.

Definitely annoying to have static noises at random, but often on reverse or when front camera is engaged. Tried doing other troubleshooting that included unplugging power from all sockets but the issue continued. Also ran test by keeping the phone at home, static still occurs even without radio/carplay active.

50k mile so out of warranty. Would love to see a recall for this or OTA update that can actually fix it.

Do you have the Pitch & Roll window running in Sync in the background? If so, have you checked whether those issue still occur if you switch to a different option? That seems to have solved the issue for many of us.

Good morning all. I use android audio and I'm experiencing clipping of the first part of every song it plays. Fairly certain its not my phone S22 since it seems to work fine on my other vehicles.

So for about 10 days now I have not used the pitch and roll screen and I have not seen any issues. I still don't completely trust that it is working as it should yet, but it does seem promising.

Previously most anytime I shifted into reverse it would kick into the static noise issue. I have been kind of trying to make it have issues by shifting it a few times in different gears, but so far so good.

I’m almost positive this is a bug with the Pitch and Roll screen. I never had this issue until I went offroading and used this feature. I searched all around for others experiencing the same thing, and in every video I’ve seen, the same Pitch and Roll screen was set. When I switched out of it, the audio issues stopped happening entirely. I’m pretty sure that those that are getting a fix by the dealer or are magically having it go away are actually having it resolved by just not using the pitch and roll feature anymore. For anyone still experiencing this, I recommend switching out of it to something like fuel consumption or music.

Well. As a data point, I was having issues when I had the pitch and roll screen up and went to the fuel economy screen two weeks ago with no issues.

As a counter point I almost exclusively have mine on the mpg screen and it still does it daily.

Counter to my counter point: I was referring to the one on the dash, not the infotainment screen. I did notice that even though I'm in fullscreen Android Auto, the background system is still set to the Pitch & Roll screen. I've swapped that up to Audio and we'll have to see! I was able to back up without it spazzing out on me for the first time this morning, so maybe yall are on to something here!

Yall, this is it. Haven't stuttered a single time since making the change on the infotainment screen. Yall are geniuses. Hats off to you! Now my only recurring issue is the windows not rolling down when the door opens! lol

I concur, I don't think I have had any issues either.

When shifting into reverse it was always A trigger for this to happen, and I don't even have that as an issue now that the pitch and roll is not on the screen for me.
