Debt, ya, not for me. My suggestion is pay cash if you can afford it. If your house, credit cards, student loans are retired pay cash for your Bronco, otherwise you can't afford it. Wait 2 years and get one off lease or off a used lot and pay cash for that also, you have 2 years to budget.

Good luck.. try to build your score so they accept the transaction
Thankfully, I've got pretty good credit, close to 800. Hoping that's good enough.

Interest rates are so low, there isn't much of a reason to not finance.
That’s true, I just don’t like a bank having something over me even if I could be making a better return on the money myself. It’s completely irrational...

Personally I would rather lease as it fit me the best at this stage of life.
Minimal outflow of cash and payments less than purchase.
And can turn it in or buy it if I choose. Best thing is with the possibilty of a Bronco Raptor/Warthog in a few years this might be the way to go.

In my country lease is new to us but when we calculate it the difference is not that big plus they don't do it with all companies and you must work with the government to be elegabl to take it.

Oh and something to think about also is depreciation your car will loose about 30 % of it's value on the first year to me it mean that my cash payment also lost the value . weird way of thinking I know but my 50k cash payment is only worth 35 now! Same thing with loan but I still have the money in the bank.

Better to be debt free in an old rig than a slave to the bank. Just my opinion. Paid cash for my Explorer used, the difference in my 3 year old rig with a leather interior and the guy who bought new with leather interior about 25k. Oddly enough, that amount of savings is a large amount of paying cash for a base Bronco, it all adds up in time.

If I can get 0 or 1% I’ll finance the whole purchase. I’ll try to get a bit more for my trade in in exchange for financing with them. If neither of those work, I’ll finance as little as possible over 3 years, and sell my current car private party.

Any one here thinking to pay by credit card ?
Here in my country miles and points are very strong market, some peoples prefer to pay using credit cards !!
If not the full amount 10 or 20 %

I won’t get a vehicle unless I can put half down. Just how I was brought up and I’ll use my credit union for the rest. They beat the big bank APR’s.

not unless you are going to pay the credit card off immediately. interest rates on credit cards are higher than car loans.

I heard some dealerships limit the amount you can put on a CC to a few thousand due to the processing fees they will have to pay. But if you are going to pay some amount cash and can push them to let you earn some CC rewards, go for it!

I’ll be financing. At 24 years old, it’s tough to have enough cash to buy it all at once. That being said, I’ll probably be able to put about 15-20k down on it. I’ve had car payments for over 6 years now. Had a Ford Focus and almost had it paid off when it got totaled. Used the money from that as a down payment on an Impreza. I’ll make money off that when I trade it in for the bronco so that will also go towards the down payment.
