Dude..Kevin, Based on your post and the numeric value in your screen name I presume the clock is ticking my man.
I'd rethink that 3 year wait. :)
If MY23 Broncos are 3 years away, this program is even more screwed up than I realized.

This is like saying "I'm waiting for a computer with the next Intel CPU" or "I'm waiting for the next Mac". There will always be future improvements. Even after your wait.

The main thing I worry about is the styling not aging well like basically anything from the 90's or the 2005 - 2009 Mustang.
Hey now, I think the 2005-09 Mustangs are ageless (love my 2005) like the 65 to 68 'stangs and I get the same feel with the new Bronco , modern tech, classic styling. I was really looking for the /s/ after your post.

I knew someone would reply! ?

I realize taste is personal. I just don't like the 05 - 09 design much. I much prefer the rear fascia and lights that arrived in 2010 and liked the more aggressive language that came a bit later even more. My favorite more recent design is 2014. I also like all the 2015+ ones.

But yes I like all the classic Mustangs too as well as the fox based ones in the 80s and early 90s.

With that kind of first hand knowledge of early 80s Mustangs are you sure you want to wait a few years? ?
That sounds a bit like “age-shaming”, but OK. Maybe I should find a ‘72 Gran Torino fastback and assure my lawn is footprint-free?

You are absolutely correct, but...

With that logic you should never buy a phone, computer, pretty much anything tech based, or almost all vehicles.

Should be safe with beds, coffee makers, toilets, and Jeeps though. ?
Toyotas, buy the new re-model and you're good for at least a decade.

Like many of you, I've been following the intro closely, developing different builds, anxiously awaiting any new "revelations". And, suddenly I'm swept back to 1981......and Ford's "The Boss is Back" campaign putting the 302 back into the Mustang after a couple of years of anemic 255 cu in V8s in the Fox chassis.

Wow....this '82 5.0 has a boat engine cam (same firing order as a 351W), four speed, Traction-Lok rear and is pretty damn quick. Had to have one.......special ordered it, loved it. It was the shit......then......the '83s came out with about 20 more net horsepower..... a couple of years later the roller-cam version of the 4-bbl engine came out with another 30 horses and an 8.8 axle instead of the 7.5. Then fuel injection, and so on and so on....... We all know the rest of the story.

A couple of years down the road, the Bronco will be significantly better, in ways we can't even predict at this time. Enjoy your "first year" Bronco..... I'll rejoin the festivities a couple of years down the road.
ahhhh...yes but to be the first to drive a 1964-1/2 Mustang when it first hit the streets...priceless

You're assuming something better is right around the corner.

For all we know, our new one world government overloads will mandate fun be eliminated from all new vehicles.
By 2023 the best engine option could be the 3-cylinder 1.5L EcoBoost with mandatory auto start/stop.
After all, the cars of the late 60's/early 70's didn't suck nearly as much as the late 70's/early 80's.

I hope/expect/am pretty sure I'm wrong, but I too have sufficient knowledge of early 80's and as @Essmith94 suggested, I probably shouldn't wait a few years.

Yeah I actually totally agree that the best will come in a year or so. I am also fortunate enough to be in a position where it will take me a couple years to get together a down payment for a new Bronco so....
..........does the poor guy win?

/remind me 2023

Honestly though, I'm super curious to see longevity reviews - we all know the winch blocks the 360 camera view. What else will be fixed in the following model year?
