Been looking at different options for mounting chase lights on the Raptor, but haven’t really found a solution I liked until tonight.

I purchased the Pura Vida Off-road recovery board mounting brackets and shelf from @UtahBrandon a few months ago and installed them, but haven’t had time to do much else with them yet. Realized tonight that they’re a great place to temporarily or permanently mount a couple of @Baja Designs S2 Pros. My plan is to tap into the upfitter wire that runs to the rear cargo area and operate them from one of the switches, but it’ll be a few daysbefore I have time to tackle that project.

That’s awesome. I’ve been looking for a good cargo light solution for the bottom of the tray as well. Been considering Chase lights as well on the outside, but hadn’t considered mounting them inside. Nice job!

@Johnny Rebel Did this work out for you?

Curious how the glare is from inside. I was considering a light bar mounted to the PVO brackets, but like the S2 option too.

They worked pretty well. Glare wasn’t a problem at all. From the rear, they were bright enough, but I decided to move them to the @Fast Intentions Inc. chase light mount instead. Several other Broncos on the trip had those and the visibility from the rear was outstanding. Plus, Kevin is a really good guy and I like to support companies like his.

Good to hear on the lack of glare. I prioritize interior or removable mounting as much as I can to be more low pro and theft proof for anything that can’t come out of the Bronco for daily use…and also trying to keep my spare usable for a trash bag used for firewood, fuel, and trash, so not ready to go to a spare tire mount. Thanks for the info.

Glad to help. I think along the same lines as you do. The PVO brackets are a solid option for mounting them and it makes the wiring a little easier. I also like that they’re mounted higher up on the truck.

Make sure and post pics after you get it installed. I’d love to see it.

Will do. It’s still in the body shop, but hope to have it back in a few weeks.
